the idea of flip spots in the rotation is a bit ridiculous, 4th or 5th it doesn't matter, all that matters is in or out of the rotation.

Worst ST coverage ever.

EVER!

Why is it that the past two years the W.Sox have just about every game on Comcast? Has anyone figured that out yet?

Because the Cubs have WGN as their base. Comcast is owned by a collection of teams/businesses including the Cubs/Tribune, the White Sox, and others.

CSN-Chicago is jointly run by Comcast, the Tribune Corporation (owners of the Cubs), and Jerry Reinsdorf (owner of the Bulls and White Sox). The channel airs most of the games for those three teams, along with road games for the NHL Blackhawks, and many MLS Fire soccer games. If any two of the teams play at the same time, a second alternate channel is utilized to show both events. Comcast SportsNet Chicago was created so the teams mentioned could have editorial control over their broadcasts, unlike the past 'produced by' arrangements with FSN Chicago. In the Chicago area, Comcast operates a separate Comcast Network, a general entertaiment channel that also airs the entire schedule of the AHL Wolves.

Just think where we'd be without Mr. Miles. Thank you, Bruce.

My appreciation as well Bruce. Thank you.

That still doens't make sense. The TRIB still has thier hand in the Comcast pot and why not spilt it 50/50 with the Sox and Cubs. I mean the Cubs get what 2-4 games and the Sox get 20 games? Doesn't make sense.

if that was directed at me. the flipping i meant would be from williams pen/rusch rotation to williams rotation/rusch pen IF Rusch was doing poorly and Williams was pitching well.

Unlike the Cubs, the Sox don't have their own channel. Comcast wil show 72 Cubs games I believe. WGN still wants to have sports revenue. WCIU (CubsNet/SoxNet) will show some of the games, as will ESPN and or FOX

Cubs didn't want to televise that many games.

Comcast wanted to show more Cubs ST games, IIRC, but was shot down by the Cubs. I really can't see why the Cubs would have such little desire to start getting their fandom warmed up for the season.

If we're just talking about ST, I think the reason was financial because the Tribune company is experiencing some hardship.

I don't know anything about the industry, but maybe they thought that the sox would get higher ratings (= higher revenues) from their ST games. Just a guess and again, I know nothing about broadcasting.

Since when are the Cubs shy about exposing thier product?

Anyone else here get MLBTV? I just purchased it, thinking I could get the Cubs game, but it isn't offered today. I'm not in a blackout area either. I thought you could get all non-blackout games? I'm a little PO'd.

There's no TV or radio for this particular game. Things are different during the regular season.

unlcear on how it was done, but it is now 6-1 Cubs

I guess we have to wait to see the Box Score to see who did what today.
