I'm in a standard keeper auction league - 15 teams, $260 salary cap.

Would you keep Glaus at a $24 value. 3b is at a premium, guys that are obviously better than Glaus and available for auction are: Arod, Blalock, Chavez. Each of these guys will probably be $30 or greater in an auction.

Given the amount of players in the league at the premium at 3b, I'm leaning towards yes. Normally I'd say no given his past problems with injuries, but I'm thinking him being able to DH more will help.

Any opinions out there Glaus?

I think it really depends on the strengths and weaknesses of your team. Glaus will probably only put up a line like .250/30/110 if he plays pretty much the whole season. I also believe that he's had problems with his knees, and since he's up in Toronto with that turf that could cause problems again.

Personally, I'd go after Blalock; especially in a keeper league.

Completely agree - I'd rather go after Blalock too - and actually I still may. I have 2 UTL spots and a CI spot. The difficulty is how an auction will project, sometimes people will just WAY overbid on certain positions. I know Glaus isn't ideal at $24, but I know that Chavez, Arod, and Blalock will also be at least $10-15 more given that there aren't many premiere 3b's out there and the amount players in the league.

I'm just worried about Glaus' health. If he's healthy - he provides upper tier power numbers. But $24 is a lot of invest in a guy who can be injured all year.

Bull. If he's healthy he'll hit 40 home runs from the DH/3B, RBI's are impossible to predict, but that avg. is probably about right.
