I bet he's dead - they're just saying he's alive so they can sell more Mark Prior jersies.

 

If you play that Steve Goodman song, "Dying Cub Fan's Last Request", backwards on a turntable, there's a section at the end where I swear it says "Mark is dead."

 

I'm just glad that people still know who Steve Goodman is!

 

I live 1 block off of "Steve Goodman Way" btw...

Those Rothchild quotes really bother me. If there is nothing wrong why is he just now begining to throw breaking balls? Why is he velocity down? Why do they say we'll see how he comes through it if all he needs is extra conditioning time?

 

Well the good thing is...

 

all but that last one can be answered simply by remembering that no one is in top form during the early parts of ST.

 

And I guess the last one is because he's bound to be behind after that sickness, so they're just being cautious.

Not at first. He only wrote the last verse later on after David Allan Coe told him it wasn't yet the perfect country and western song.
