Official Tickets Thread

Tickets go on sale 02/24. I have never had any success whatsoever getting through the "Virtual Waiting Room". From past threads, I know that people here have had good experiences getting through. Me? Never.

 

Does anyone have any tips or pointers to getting through?

 

I've tried multiple browsers, single browser, constant refresh etc. Nothing works for me. TicketsNow.com always has tickets for me but only at a premium.

 

Ideas?

Sadly I can't afford tickets this year - at least not on 2/24. It's really a luck thing, because I used the same method of getting tickets (computer lab; multiple PCs with multiple browsers) for the past two years. In '04 I got a game as early at 10:45 a.m. Last year I didn't get a game until 3:15 p.m.

 

If you cannot get to multiple PCs, do continue use of multiple Windows... unless you use FireFox, in which case you can do multiple tabs in one window.

If they were going to fix it, I don't think it worked. I got my Cubs-Twins tickets using multiple windows like I have done in the past. Last year by 1:00, I had purchased tickets to 4 different games all using Firefox and the multiple window approach.

Last year, I got in two minutes after the sale started last time and got 6 great seats for the Friday Red Sox game.

 

In all, I got in 13 or 14 times before I reached the 42-ticket limit around 4:00.

It took me about 30 mins to get through, and I was able to get six seats to the Sunday night Cubs Red Sox game.
