Tony Batista Signed w/Twins???

I never remember seeing anything about this on here, and my quick manual search yielded nothing, so here goes.

 

After posting a line of .241/32/110 with the horrible Expos in 2004, he signed a two year, $15 million contract to play in Japan. Then suddenly, after a pretty average .263/27/90 with the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks, he signs a one-year deal with Minnesota.

 

Anybody think this guy can put up decent numbers at the bottom of the lineup???

Doubt it. I remember the Cubs were interested in him in 03.. JOKE
