The trade is complete pending physicals.

Rotoworld is reporting the following:

According to Cleveland Plain Dealer's Paul Hoynes, Arthur Rhodes flew to Philadelphia for a physical, signaling that the Coco Crisp deal could be back on.

If the Rhodes-for-Michaels swap is back on, then Crisp might go to Boston, as the Indians would have little need for Michaels otherwise. We've heard rumors that the proposed swap contains contigencies on Guillermo Mota's health. If Mota spends a certain amount of time on the DL in 2006, the Red Sox may be required to send another prospect to Cleveland. Jan. 27 - 12:07 pm et

The long talked-about trade that would send Phillies outfielder Jason Michaels to the Cleveland Indians for veteran reliever Arthur Rhodes is nearing completion, baseball sources said this afternoon.

Rhodes is in Philadelphia today having a physical examination. If he passes the physical, the deal could be announced later today.

Thought I heard that Mota failed his physical. Or was that the first go around with this trade?
The deal was renegotiated so Cleveland would receive another player from Boston if Mota goes on the DL. Some additional players are included as compared to the originally reported trade (Shoppach going to Cleveland, Riske and Bard to Boston).

Thanks NC.

Trades get more and more complicated by the year.
