Perhaps the mods could sticky a Bruce thread where posters could post questions and then Bruce could answer them when he wants instead of being constantly called out?

We do talk with Bruce on a regular basis about his participation here as a guest and as a fellow poster. He is going to do a scheduled chat / Q&A session here before spring training; there will be plenty of notice as to when that will be and there will be a thread set up for people to post their questions.

 

So - yes - there will be a formal mechanism for questions for him (and a few others) once we nail down the schedule.

 

He's also going to continue to participate here as a poster -- unscheduled, informal, etc. If calling-out threads become more of a problem, we'll ask for everyone's cooperation in ceasing and desisting ... and we may end up moving and locking some of them.

 

So - also - we are going to allow him to continue to participate informally.

 

 

Everyone has very well-intentioned and good suggestions, and maybe things will change down the line. For now, that's how it will work.

 

It's great having him here sharing his perspective, and we'd like to ensure that he continues to enjoy being here as well. :)
