I would be bumming big time! Every team in the AL East (especially Toronto and Boston) has improved in one way or another, and all the Yankees have done is offer arbitration to Bernie Williams and trade Tony Womack! You would think they would have done something at the meetings, although I know the Cubs beat them to the punch on Howry and Pierre. I would have thought they would have some interest in Patterson but what could offer in exchange for him? There's nothing I can think of, that I would want.

Judging by the responses to my post, it's obvious people could care less, about the Spankees. LOL!

The Yankees lost millions of dollars in revenue last year which is why they have been forced to curtail their spending. They also lost "37.1 million in 2004."

The New York Yankees lost between $50 million and $85 million for the 2005 season, the New York Daily News reported Sunday.

Despite drawing more than four million fans, a payroll of $200 million plus an additional $110 million in revenue sharing and luxury taxes has left the Yankees in the red, according to the paper.

"Yes, even George has his limits," one source told the Daily News.

It was reported earlier on XM radio that the Cubs have contacted the Orioles about Tejada.

--If this is true, it's nice to see Jimbo at least inquiring about him. It would be great if we could get him and trade Patterson at the same time.

I'd be ticked they aren't trading one of their big hitters for more pitching. They need to structure their team like the late 90's teams, who had starters such as Cone, Wells, Clemens, El Duque and Pettite.
