Agreed. I'm really glad to see both of them doing better. We really need these guys to step up. -
It's called Baker-logic. Too bad his logic is only understood by him and nobody else. The key to decrypt his logic was stolen by Hank Aaron and never recovered.

Is signing Schmidt really a good move for the Cubs? He's getting up there in years and he could break any minute. He still is good but I'm sure he is looking for at least a 3 year deal and to me that's a big risk. Hendry is a fool for not properly making the right moves when he could have and now I really believe there is nothing he can do to get up respectable again next season. I'm hoping I'm wrong but I just don't see it.

Did he really say that? yeah, he almost shouted it. Nice, I'm not surprised though he speaks very highly of Murton. Brenly would be a huge improvement over Baker. At least he realizes working counts and taking walks.

What is the point of having Neifi when we have Cedeno, Izturis and Theriot? I disagree about Neifi and Rusch staying here becuase of their contracts. They are not worth it. Sometimes it's best to cut your losses and move on. Nevin should have been traded for a prospect. Mabry and somebody from the minors could have been brought up. We're not going anywhere this year so why not bring somebody from the minors to play?

There should be absolutely no reason for Neifi, Nevin, and Rusch to still be on this team. None. Bottome line, both Baker and Hendry are clowns and both have to go to make the situation better.

Of course it does. Not only did LA get Maddux but they also dumped salary. Jeez our GM is TERRIBLE. WHy in the world would we want Izturis here? He brings nothing to the table as far as I'm concerned. I disagree. Hendry has been less terrible then more recent GMs in the franchise history, but has made his fair shares of mistakes. Now the Izturis/Maddux deal, that is Karma coming back and biting Hendry in the butt. We won the Hundley for Karros/Grudz deal, the Dodgers win the Maddux/Izzy deal. Eye for an eye. Who cares about GM franchise history? The simple fact is Hendry sucks right now. He's terrrible.
