    And in 2005, he had a .559 OPS against with a near 4:1 K/BB ratio against lefties and failed to give up a home run. His three year averages are very strong. He may have worn down last year because of overuse, but his post ASB was very out of character with what the previous 1.5 seasons had been.

    Or you just miss the obvious potential Eyre deal. I don't think Hendry would add a third LH arm for no reason. It doesn't make sense to me to trade for Cotts to be your LH set-up man. That's what I'm saying. If another team has a woody for Cotts, then it makes sense to trade 2 pitchers for him. I just don't see the point in acquiring Cotts as the guy you will fall back on once dealing Eyre (which I'm in favor of). I don't think he'll be a LH set up man. As is (assuming Eyre is dealt), your top three arms in the pen will all be RH. I think Cotts will be used to get out tough lefties along with Ohman. I don't know if there's a role on this team for a LH set up man given how much the three righties are making.

    Cotts' best year is far better than Eyre's best season. And he's only 26.

    I think some of the speculation on here is probably right on that Hendry is trying to drive up value on Izturis to move him, then take Lugo and put him at SS with Soriano in CF. Whether or not Hendry can actually get that done is anybody's guess. I could totally live with Soriano and Lugo if it means getting rid of Izturis.

    I personally think the board should go away from its "family friendly" parameters this evening to emphasize how truly pissed we are at this. We shouldn't be tamed in a time where things appear to be their bleakest.

    What part of Miami and Kansas St do you think is in the the MAC....really? Those are teams Louisville played. Ohio State doesn't even have to play Wisconsin...that's a joke. Syracuse which hasn't won a Big East game in 2 years went to OT with Iowa and beat Illinois. Rutgers beat Illinois 33-0 while THE Ohio State beats them 17-10? Try looking at facts or does that scare you? If you really think the Big East has any team better than Ohio State, than its really not worth discussing. Your bias is far too strong for any objectivity here. ETA: getting rid of the ridiculous number of people quoted...
