I didn't mind Tyrus, but I was hoping for either Aldridge or drafting Roy and trading Ben (I remember being all about Channing Frye that summer :D) for a young big man. Aldridge would be nice here at this point, but it's way early to be casting angst towards Pax for taking Tyrus. As he matures, he will become a really good player. Barring a blockbuster deal, I believe it will be in Chicago.

Are we doing this? I can set up the league if enough people want me to. One note, I will be completely gone for about 7 weeks due to basic training in Texas. So, if I'm the commish, I'd be out of commission for awhile and not sure if anybody wants that. Season starts tonight, but there's no reason we can't do something to within a week to get this going.

The bench could be aided by a couple of guys like Juwan Howard or Chris Webber coming in at the league minimum thinking we'd have a great shot at a title in the East. I'm in no way a big fan of those guys at their old salaries, but at the Vet minimum, they'd be very ideal.

Somebody setting this up? I'm interested in getting this started since the season starts this week!

I noticed. The weather here sucks all week, then ESPN comes and bam! Sun. Sounds like the sun has an east coast bias too.

Its just not a desirable place to be walking around randomly. UC tips: don't park in the lots, for god's sake. You can park safely on the street 3 blocks to the southeast of the United Center by Moretti's. No tickets issued (restaurant is located at Jackson and west of Ashland) at all. Parking in the lots near the UC is minimum 15 bucks, and most are 20-25. Don't stay there. If you want, stay in Rosemont and ride the blue line for an hour and you're at the Medical Center stop and its a 4 block walk north to the stadium. There's not much of a scene around the UC worth hanging around for. Hope this helps.

For Whom the Bell Tolls is my favorite Metallica song also. I just get chills from the first 2 minutes of the song. That would be an awesome song to have as your "entrance music" (relief pitcher, UFC Fighter, et. al. Sadly, Metallica would likely not allow it.)

Outside of David Lee, that team is a load of bad contracts that the Lakers would not want. That would completely alienate the L.A. fan base. At least the Bulls could offer a big time scorer in Gordon (I think they could still do a sign and trade with pjb to give him some free money to make salaries match), whereas they'd be getting negative value from the Knicks.

Question: If we're adding teams, how are they going to select three keepers? Are we all going to pick our keepers and then they get what's left (to pick three players?) Everybody lists their keepers, and then the two new guys take 3 players of the remaining pool AND they each get to select first or second to put everybody on a more level playing field. Just a thought.

How did you know you were refunded? I don't think I have been yet, but I'm sure my online banking won't reflect that on a Sunday. It showed up yesterday on my statement... Yet to be reflected in my available funds, however.
