    That behind the QB cam on the pass to Maclin gives you a microcosm of Kansas' awful coverage all night. Maclin wasn't even the most open receiver down the field.

    I want to see Ohio State in the title game for two reasons. 1. To get embarassed by West Virginia 2. Illinois would make the Rose Bowl if Ohio State makes the title game. Sounds good to me. for us illini fans, it doesn't matter who wins this game, right? as long as oklahoma smokes either of them in the big 12 championship. If Mizzou wins, it strengthens Illinois' schedule for a possible BCS at large berth (this is assuming something wacky doesn't happen like BC or Tennessee winning their conference title, that would pretty much eliminate Illinois) in the event that Mizzou beats Oklahoma and plays against WVU (who isn't losing to Pitt).

    anyway, if kansas hadnt choked in the red zone so bad early this would be a very good game right now Exactly. This game has been MUCH closer than the score has indicated. Too bad KU doesn't have a kicker. It would be a one possession game right now. Come on...get a couple of stops. I completely disagree. Mizzou has looked like a much better team all evening.

    If I was Mangino here, I'd go for a surprise onside kick. With Mizzou's efficiency tonight, a whole field drive could kill 6-7 minutes and likely end in points which would make it an insurmountable three score game. Kansas has shown no ability to either stop Mizzou or to force any sort of turnover. That's gotta be the call Mangino makes, right?

    I think part of the porous secondary play tonight is a result of ZERO pressure on Daniel. But they are also seemingly constantly out of position in coverage and their inability to tackle in the open field is only making that weakness more glaring. The defense has been terrible all night.

    You know what Kansas can't do? Defend the pass, get any pressure, or tackle. Not a good formula for successful defense.

    Michael Beasley with another 20/20 game last night. In 3 games (sample size I know), but he is averaging 30 and 20. That's nuts.

    Weren't the Phillies willing to give away Pat Burrell at one point? I'd see no reason they'd hold onto him for two more years at huge money to get a couple nice pitching pieces in return.

    Oh man. This is the one last thing I wanted to do before going into Air Force basic training. That starts the Tuesday after the Convention and I completely blanked on getting tickets for this. Damnit.

    I posed trades to both Andy (accepted already) and Play Pie. I like to think I've made both offers fairly given the circumstances of the draft.

    Trading would be nearly impossible. If we can do a re-draft at night at some time, that'd probably suit a majority at least.

    This is what we call selective memory. Did you think that Luol Deng just came here on a whim? Pax dealt a future pick for the seventh pick for the cost cutting Suns and wound up with a future all star.
