    The teams who lost out on the Fukudome sweepstakes could have interest in Jones. And if you can't get anymore value than Infante, you might as well just keep Jones. An outfielder could get hurt in ST, increasing Jone's trade value. Hendry just traded a guy who's value couldn't be any lower. He's famous for that. I really don't understand it, other than Hendry felt he owed it to an unhappy player to move him. Actually...Jones' value was substantially lower about 6 months ago...when he was hitting .202 with no power...The fact that he got his BA up to .285 probably makes him interesting to a couple teams...

    Tejada AND Brian Roberts? Send them Cedeno, Marshall, Infante, and Gallagher? What was Roberts like in the minors? He kind of scares me because of the thread of Roids as does Tejada. Not sure. He's never been a huge power guy (18 is is career high), but has a very solid OBP...in a lot of respects he's just a little more powerful, little more expensive, Mark DeRosa....

    That's pretty vague. Are they interested in Jacque if the Cubs pay his entire salary? If they don't have to give anything up to get him? If the Cubs pay most of his salary? Unfortunately, no details given on the report I heard at 1:00 PM. Unlike last offseason though, I sense the Cubs are not in any rush to move him unless they get a really good offer. It sure sounds like Jones is penciled in as the everyday CF to start the season. I thought Felix was going to get "every chance" to be the opening day CF...

    What's the problem? Every feature we had on the old premium we have on this phpbb3, the only difference is there are a few adds. Tim has already explained why it's taking a little while; cut him some slack. I'm not trying to be a jerk....he can have all the slack he needs...I'm just not a fan of the adds at all, they annoy the crap out of me...I finally figured out how to turn off all the photos/avatars/sigs on phpbb3...which makes viewing a bit easier...all that stuff was auto off for me on the old board and I missed it....in all, its not "bad"...I just don't like change...especially change attached to google adds. :lol:

    I'd love to see both of those guys contribute at the ML level next year...if we can get good, solid, cheap production it allows us to do some other things with the $$.

    This is a move they could pull off and they do need a SS. My 3 teams for ARod are St. Louis, Mets and Angels. A-Rod here in St.Louis would make me sick. Just he and Pujols in the same line up would be enough to win this division for several years to come. I'm sure he's be close to public enemy #1 if he did go to the Cards. Imagine if the Reds wanted to make a big splash and signed him? In that park, with that line up, he could average 60hrs for the first 5 years of the contract.

    That's one thing going against us I'd think...The Cubs don't have any problem selling tickets the way it is....w/A-rod they could raise them $10 accross the board and still sell out every game.

    Does anyone think that if it looked like Boston was going to sign him that the Yankees might "forget" their pledge not to get involved? Do you think that's what Boras is counting on?
