    I can't drive, so its a fairly safe bet that I wasn't doing. You are the second person I know who can't drive...and old enough to drive. Interesting.

    Maybe the reason "puff pieces" are written about Ryno is because there is not a lot of bad things that can be said about him (other than the delusional rantings of Cubette of course). He wasn't a selfish player, his teammates loved him, his opponents admired him, his players respect him and he was never suspected of using steroids. Other than marrying his high school sweetheart who turned into a philandering wench, the guy didn't make a lof of mistakes. Actually, to be truthful, Ryno isn't exactly the friendliest person in the world. He was nothign but friendly and very accomodating when I met him and got him to sign a jersey and his book. Appeared very personable and friendly. JMO

    When the whole incident went down, Len and Bob were saying that appeals used to only held in NY so when a team played there, that's when the appeals were heard. But, they said with the unbalanced schedule, representatives will fly to the city the player is in when it works into the schedule. Not saying it couldn't happen then, but Len and Bob said it could happen at any time due to reps flying to meet the players now.

    The hooker thread was Yeti's brainchild I believe. And Leon Durham is my all time favorite Cub too...:D I'm sure Snood won't mind the number of votes that mistake could get him, though.

    I feel the same way. I could care less about Sosa's accomplishments now...and really wasn't that big a fan of his when playing for the Cubs but I would definately prefer for this to happen than Bonds pass Aaron.

    While I really like abuck and his Rich Hill love, I went with Bob on this one based solely on the fact that Bob was very kind when I found out my mom had breast cancer and he actually asked later how she was doing. Just a simple thought on his part. And, he likes Orlando, FL...my fav vaca spot!

    I concede this race. I won't be around for the rest of the day so I feel this is over. I'm saddened that I lost in the first round, but joyful that I even had votes! To my worthy apponent - Snood, you fought a good fight save the video! Just to clear up the air, I do NOT support Bin Laden! Good luck in the second round...you just might get my vote.

    I'm still trying to figure out the Astros one. That one got my vote...it is dumb and doesn't make sense.

    Just because warnings are given doesn't mean the umps automatically eject players...they eject with discretion. Given that scenario, I think the umps leave him in. And, I can see Maddux hitting someone but I think he'd do it where he's "supposed" to...hip, butt, etc and do it with a soft pitch and only if deemed necessary by the Cubs hitting someone. I don't think he'll go out there and start throwing bean balls. He's too smart to for that.

    I like Soccer but I respect CardFan for putting up with all us Cubs fans...and he seems like a good guy...he got my vote but I have no doubt Soccer will be him and then Soccer will have my vote next round more than likely.
