  1. Texas Tech can control the clock?
  2. Hmm... So I get HOU/MIN on one network, and GB/TEN on another. It could be a good Sunday for me. While I like the Bears, I like AD too.
  3. Every time I go to Stillwater my tires get slashed. Then again, it seems like the only time I'm ever in that town I'm wearing OU gear...
  4. The Clippers sure could have used Elton Brand yesterday. the okc crowd has already adopted russell westbrook, by the way. i mentioned it in the post above, but it's amazing how many loose balls he creates. Carleisimo played Watson the entire 1st and 3rd quarters, and let westbrook have the second and fourth, and it seemed like every time someone (JEFF GREEN ](*,) ](*,) ](*,) ) missed a jumper, westbrook came soaring out of nowhere to knock it out of the defensive rebounders hands. he hit a 3 from the left wing that capped a run and cut the lead down to 11 (after it had been in the mid 20s) and the crowd erupted. I can't see him not stealing watson's minutes by midseason. Watson was horrible last night, especially the 1st quarter. I thought he played like he was on the Bucks with all the turnovers he had then.
  5. The Thunder will struggle to win 25 games this year. I just hope they can win the lottery and Blake Griffin declares this season.
  6. I am too. Thus, I watch Big XII football. It's a conference where someone picks a 45-24 score for OU/NU and I tell them both teams' scores are too low. It's a conference where a team can turn the ball over 5 times and still score 35 points.
  7. Statheads, please chime in. Is this method of measuring a defense very feasible or actually useful? I like how it basically adjusts for pace of games, but its glaring weakness is that it doesn't adjust for anything like starting field position, etc. Also, can you take (1 - opp def efficiency) to get a similar offensive efficiency metric for a single game?
  8. Heh, 2010 NBA All-Star game will be played at JerryWorld in Dallas. Ooo, the Thunder make their debut tomorrow. I dunno if I'll tune in or not.
  9. That play happened last season, but it was pretty awesome. Those almost never work, but when they do, they're epic.
  10. Don't believe them. There's only one bar type place unique to Stillwater. Most of the other restaurants are chains (Chili's, Buffalo Wild Wings, etc.) A few student parties there are in trailer parks.
  11. How is Ames not the worst? Because of Lubbock, Manhattan, and Stillwater. Actually I'd say there are only 3 good Big XII towns that I've been to: Norman, Austin, and Lawrence. I've never been to Boulder or Colombia, though. I'd put Lincoln, College Station, and Waco as decent towns, not great, but decent. Lubbock, Manhattan, Ames, and Stillwater are all not very fun.
  12. Question: Is beating Ole Miss 24-20 at home different than losing to Ole Miss at home 31-30 because of a missed XPT? If you answer anything other than "No" you're [expletive]. Again, Bama isn't better than Florida because Florida missed that extra point. Is winning different than losing?
  13. Heh, I think he's the 3rd best TE in the Big XII behind Pettigrew and Gresham. Pettigrew: 27 rec. 298 yards 0 TDs (6 games) Gresham: 29 rec. 467 yards 7 TDs (8 games) Coffman: 63 rec. 749 yards 5 TDs (8 games) *yawn* pwned  Haha. I could actually believe that Greshman is just as good, but I don't understand the Pettigrew love. It's been going on for two years. Last year Pettigrew got First Team All-Big 12 (35 catches, 540 yards, 4 TDs) over Martin Rucker (84 catches, 834 yards, 8 TDs). I feel that I'm missing something on Pettigrew. Pettigrew and Gresham are almost the same player. I think Pettigrew is a better blocker, but Gresham is faster and does a lot more after the catch.
  14. well the teams rushed the ball like 100 times for about 20 yards. of course there wasnt any holding! alright top 25 1. Texas 2. Alabama 3. Penn State 4. Florida 5. USC 6. Georgia 7. Oklahoma 8. Oklahoma State 9. Texas Tech 10. Utah 11. Boise State 12. TCU 13. Missouri 14. Ohio State 15. North Carolina 16. Louisiana State 17. Ball State 18. Florida State 19. BYU 20. California 21. Tulsa 22. South Florida 23. Minnesota 24. Michigan State 25. Oregon Really right now UF is probably better than PSU and Bama, but for now I'll let the unbeaten threesome at the top stay there. Switch USC's and Texas Tech's spots and I'll agree with you. Also, Arizona just tied it up with USC 10-10 in the 3rd.

  17. Tell OU fans about this.
  18. Wanny! A ranked Dave Wannstedt team is always due for a loss.
  19. Umm... you realize return yards don't count as total yards, right? I'm seeing the combined yardage totals of the OU/KSU game around 1080.
  20. Oklahoma has not had a holding call against its opponents all season long. I don't know how that is even possible without officials' bias.
  21. It's halftime. I'm about to get a pizza. It should take me about 15 minutes. I wouldn't be surprised if OU was up to 69 when I got back.
  22. i have no idea how we scored the last TD. kstate had the ball, i went to get my running shoes for a halftime jog and i get back and we're in the end zone. i was literally out of the room for maybe 1:30 Broyles punt return for a TD.
  23. i really think that this no huddle offense kills our defense. we either score in 5 plays or go three and out. plus, our defense isnt that good to begin with. we also always have trouble with big, mobile qbs because our coverage breaks down too quick. FUN FACT: ksu and ou are both averaging over 10 yards PER PLAY That's not what is doing it. It's the fact that our special teams suck, the pass defense sucks, and the other team's QB is usually pretty good.
  24. The OU/KSU game is insane right now. It's like the defenses are only allowed to play with 9 men on the field.
  25. Did you watch how out of position half of UW's guys were when they played OU? It was sad. They looked and played like they had no hope. Their running backs and receivers couldn't hold onto the ball in that game. You could breathe on the RB and he would fumble.
