I don't know if it is news to anyone else, but Neifi is currently batting over .200. Somehow I find that strange...and not too pleasing.

Nevin will likely only play 1B. Yes he will. But with Nevin at first, where does that leave Walker? We all know that Womack is Dusty's kind of player, so that leaves Walker high and dry. And once Lee gets back, don't doubt Dusty's temptation to play the veteran over the young ginger. -

I don't mind this deal on the face of it, because, you know, Hairston sucks and Nevin fills an immediate need. My biggest concern is that Nevin steals playing time from Murton. -

[/typical boo'er] Seriously though, Jones has lost a ball in the sun andairmailed the catcher, otherwise nothign to complain about recently. Jones has pretty much done what was expected of him, imperfect as that may be. If I were the Cub GM, I'd be dangling him as trade bait. But we all know that isn't going to happen.
