To borrow from PJ O'Rourke, Giving Lou Piniella the opportunity to call for stolen bases is like giving whiskey and car keys to teenage boys. It's strange, because that was one of the things that he was praised for when he was hired. His teams during his managerial career had always been one of the best in stolen base percentage. I don't remember him being this aggressive (and reckless) last year.

Was this his 1st start off the DL? Along with being his first start of the year. Looks like this mights not be it for Gallardo either. He just batted in the top of the 8th... Awesome Odd... He is out to start the ninth. I wonder what the rational was for letting him bat. Weird... unless it was a mistake on account of gameday. Like I mentioned above, the Brewers are carrying 14 pitchers. Not much you can do with a 3 man bench.
