Wow, Theriot has a higher OPS than Jeter this year. Equally as surprising to me is that, even with his really low slugging, he's 8th in all of baseball in OPS.
Harang's been terrible ever since Dusty pitched him for 63 pitches out of the pen 2 days after he threw 103. Then 3 days later he got shelled throwing 73 more pitches. LOL. You can't make this stuff up.
I know I'm late to the party, but what an incredible trade. To acquire a pitcher with that talent, and have the best player you deal with Sean Gallagher, is simply amazing. Great job, Jimbo!
I remember when I was a kid I thought Baseball Tonight was the greatest show. I still watch it for the highlights from time to time, but the analysis is rough.
From what I can gather: Elbow Ligament Sprain (UCL), Oblique Strain, and Rotator Cuff Strain prior to 2007, then an "inflamed shoulder" in 2007. So it's not just one recurring injury that keeps bothering him. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing.
whoa...can i ask you to get started then...because i would be quite curious to the reasoning behind this... Sorry don't care to share and there are things that I cannot share. If you don't want to or can't say anything about it, then why hint at it in the first place? Because she's trying to feel important. To strangers on an internet message board.
hahaha, I love zambrano so much. I saw him do that in the dugout the other day after Fukudome scored a run. It was so nonchalant, which made it that much funnier. Zambrano is so awesome.
We're all assuming this writer is accurate... we've seen before that people sometimes say things like this to get the first scoop, only to be wrong. I'm not familiar with this guy at all... is he pretty credible or is he their Paul Sullivan?
If were going to go for Hudson, may as well go for broke and go for Peavy. Im just saying. Peavy is signed through 2012. I don't think the Pads are going to be interested in dealing him. I'd be all for it if so though.
Are there any other realistic top of the rotation targets out there other than Burnett and Harden that might be available? Neither of them really excite me much.
On a somewhat related note, it always cracks me up when you're at a game and people who are 200 feet away from home plate are bitching about a bad call.
