  1. Sadly, he'll definitely go in as a Brave.
  2. Easy there, tiger. Got one more out to get first!
  3. You and a few others should have a party together and the theme should be: "Ridiculous premature comments that oppose all logical thought." I'd come, it'd be a blast. I'll even bring the jello shots. That's a little harsh.
  4. Because he really wasn't that big a factor in the 2003 NLCS? Huh? He had a great series. .303/.343, 1 for 4 in SBs (25%). He had a good series, but the effect he had on the NLCS has been overstated. Yeah, I guess "great" was stretching it. But still, a leadoff hitter with a 343 OBP in a championship series certainly had a good amount of impact on the series.

  6. Nice, I get home from class and we're up 4-1 and Maddux is tossing a one hitter through 5. VINTAGE Maddux!
  7. Hill pitched well in AAA, but he pitched like crap with the big league club last year. I'd rather see Guzman called up. But I'd definitely take either over Rusch. hate to break it to you, but there's a decent chance that guzman will pitch like crap when he first comes up too. marshall didn't pitch that well in his first start. you just can't expect a guy to hop right into the rotation and put up a 2.50 era. I'm not sure what I said that could have possibly caused you to infer that I'm expecting Guzman to put up a 2.50 ERA, but anyways... he's been in the minors since 2000 and I'm ready to see what he can do at the major league level. i am too. but you don't want hill b/c of the lumps he took last year, and i think it'd be naive to think that guzman won't have similar problems at first. I think it's pretty ridiculous to just assume that Guzman will struggle. Sure, he might. But then again, he might not. And it's not that I'm opposed to calling Hill up; I'd just rather see what Guzman is capable of first.
  8. I read that he was supposed to do some throwing today... anyone know the results of his session?

  11. That's awesome, thanks for posting it!
  12. Sign me up. Rusch sucks.
  13. Wind howeling out and we can't even get a single run?! Come on now!
  14. Gotta love having class in a computer lab when the Cubs game is on. Let's go Rusch! Don't suck!
  15. USS, when you say that we overpaid for Lee, what do you mean by that? Too many years? Too much money? Relative to the market? I'm just trying to understand your position, because I really don't see it being close to overpaying.
  16. I like how it looks. I can't wait to check it out in a couple weeks.
