  1. Oh God, please don't call him Bear Bear.
  2. Oh he did? Okay, well good. I didn't know that.
  3. I love having confidence in our number 5 hitter.
  4. nah. he did pretty good to get out of that with 2 runs. bases juiced, bay up and no outs. he even got the GB on Bay, but it just found a hole in the IF. just luck. With the bases loaded and no one out, after a run scoring single, the pitching coach absolutely must go out and settle him down. Obviously, it worked out well in this case, but it's pretty silly for him to just sit there in that situation. If the pitching coach has to go out and settle him down in that situation he needs to back to AAA. After a double or a bomb then that is a different matter. He loaded the bases, then gave up a run scoring single... I don't see how anyone wouldn't want the pitching coach to go out in a situation like that. It's his second major league start.

  6. Burnitz's picture on gameday is so funny. Looks like he's trying to be a real hardass.
  7. Please tell me that Rothschild is going out to talk to him.
  8. I know he had some arm troubles. I'm not sure how big of a factor his injury history was in determining to cut him loose though.
  9. Nice lineup; good to see Aramis back in there.
  10. The Cubs better take 2 out of 3. The Pirates are not a good team and it would be embarrassing to lose a series to them.
  11. Maddux is 1st in ERA and 6th in WHIP. You gotta love seeing the Maddux of old. VINTAGE!
  12. I'm 6'3 and about 200... I'll platoon at first with Ole_Miss. And eventually win the everyday job.
  13. Oh yeah, how early? And what do you mean by "behind home plate?" Are you talking lower level, or what?
  14. I have (2) SRO tickets for the 4/21 game (7:10 PM) in St. Louis that I'd like to get rid of. Unless they switch their rotation up, it looks like Ponson will be pitching for the Cards that night, so there's a good chance you'll see the Cubs score 80 runs! If you're interested in these, let me know. Also, I might be willing to sell 2 tickets to the Sunday game (Maddux vs. Mulder), but I'm not sure about that yet. Anyways, let me know if you're interested. Thanks.
  15. Ouch, another crappy outing for Ohman eh?
  16. What's up with ARam? Have they said whether his ass will be ready to play tomorrow?
  17. There's no way Cedeno bats in front of Mr. Everything.
  18. I'll be there for the Friday and Sunday games. I got SRO only tickets for both games, so I'll be roaming around the stadium both days.
  19. Uhhhhhhh.
  20. I have middle of the day class as well. Fortunately I have some breaks so I can go to a computer lab and log on to NSBB for updates. This is my last quarter so I didn't have a choice on which classes to take. Don't you hate it when class gets in the way of your Cubs watching? I know I do. Yeah, it sucks. But luckily my two o'clock class is in a computer lab, so I'm able to follow along on GameDay.
  21. Having class from 12:30 til 3 everyday sounded like a great idea when I registered... I'm such an idiot for not considering the Cubs factor.
