    I agree with the DMB live stuff. I like their studio recordings, but it doesn't even come close to their live performances.

    In place of anybody. Zambrano should be rested a bit here and there. Marshall and Marmol are going to go way past normal thresholds if they continue on this pace. Maddux serves no purpose to this organization other than a reminder that the Cubs are one of the worst teams in pro sports in getting the most out of players during their prime years, but all too happy to pay big money for past performance in declining players. Either trade him, or skip him a bit. And Prior could miss any number of starts without surprising people. =D>

    Because the fact that giving HFA to one league because it's an odd-numbered year instead of an even-numbered year on the calendar is SO MUCH more appropriate?? I think that whoever has the better record should have home field advantage. The All Star game determining it is beyond stupid.

    Thats exactly why you do trade him. He's having the stats of his career, but is going to cool off. Trade now, while the value is high. He's way overpayed for a platoon quality player, and if there's a team out there that will give up value for him, trade him. And replace him with whom? Be careful what you wish for. You replace him with somebody good next year. It really doesn't matter who takes his place for the rest of this season. Gotta have a better plan that just "somebody good." Off the top of my head, I don't know what RFers are free agents after this year. But it'd be stupid to trade Jones if there aren't any better FA's available.

    It was a longshot, but this team could have made a run if Hendry fired Dusty earlier in the year. Florida did it with McKeon and Houston did it with Garner, and neither of those teams had exceptional talent. But no, Hendry waited and waited, and now its no doubt too late for the Cubs to have any chance at all.
