I agree. While what Soriano did was wrong, but it was so much less than several other people around the league. He looked at it for a second or two, trotted backwards for another couple seconds, and then started on a pretty quick jog around the bases. If the Padres are going to start throwing at people because of what Soriano did, they are going to have starting beanball wars every couple weeks. Since they aren't, I don't know why they were so upset in this case. The Cubs just lost a whole game from one of their very own starters after plunking a Braves player in what the umpire believed to be a retaliatory purpose pitch. This stuff goes on all the time. If Soriano runs the bases like a mature professional athlete, we aren't having this discussion today. Young is throwing at DLee's head and you're blaming Soriano? There's no need to put this under the microscope that you have. Chris Young is clearly the person at fault here. To shift blame from him to Soriano is pretty, how can I say this nicely... silly.

I'm not sure that is a great idea. I know personally I would not be very happy if someone went "out on a limb" accusing me of something without actual facts. If there's footage of you mouthing it, then it's totally called for. What footage?? What did he say!? you get a pretty good view on the highlights MLB.com has up right now. I couldn't pick up what he was saying. Whatever he said made Derrek turn and say, "what!?" Why would you root for a team in our division to be a team in the AL? In interleague play, I always root for the AL team.

How about this for being a bitch: The day after senior graduation we say goodbye because she's driving back to dallas and I talk about when I'm going to see her in a few weeks when I drive out there. Well, I tried to call her later that night to see how she was doing in her drive..no answer. Next day I try to call...no answer...call a few days later...no answer. Didn't answer my emails, phone calls, nothing. She could have been dead for all I knew. Then 5 months later she finally calls me. How's that to end a 2 year relationship?? What if the same pitch was just called a ball? You don't swing at balls just so you can strike out and "go down like a man" I just saw the pitch on Baseball Tonight. You don't take that pitch. Come on, you've seen enough baseball games to know that you have to protect the plate with two strikes, again, especially in that situation. Did you see the 3 pitches prior that were called balls in the same spot? No, I didn't. And I find that hard to believe. But whatever, he struck out and that's that. Hopefully Soriano jacks one.
