Yes, absolutely. Better for him to miss 5 games against the Nats and Pirates than 5 games against some combination of the Astros/DBacks/Giants/Cardinals. I don't see any logical reason for him to NOT just serve it now.

It sucks that the Brewers are going to win again, but if the current scores hold up, we'll move up a game on the Cards. It's nice to be distancing ourselves from the rest of the pack, while still slowly but surely gaining ground on the Brewers.

On the whole, he's been very good this year. Look at the numbers. Nothing about them says anything other than he's been solid. And for a 5th starter, he's been great.

I still have no idea why the game wasn't just rescheduled for July 23rd. Both teams are off that day, and start a three game series in St. Louis on the 24th. -
Wow, I didn't realize how great Marshall has been this year. There's a guy who has truly been awesome in nearly 100% of his starts!

do you really think trading the last man off the bench that gets one ab every three days is going to upset a winning streak? come on. Probably not, but why take the chance and tinker with something when it's going great?

That's my biggest complaint about Len. Aside from ARam's blast today, I can't remember that last time that he called a HR from the moment it left the bat. Don't get me wrong, I love Len. I think he's a great announcer and he adds a lot to the broadcast. But his depth perception leaves a lot to be desired. "Swung on, belted!"... is so much better than "high fly ball to right field... it's outta here!"

If Jacque is okay with his current role on the team, he doesn't have to be traded. He's quite an expensive 25th man, but we're going to be paying him either way. I'd hate to make a trade during the middle of a winning streak where everything is finally gelling.
