Is there one out there like that? Yeah Tim, I think the durability is tied to the conditioning. I'd like to see if Toronto is trying to dump Hinske's $4m salary. He'd be a solid backup for 3rd and 1st, as well as a potent bench bat. He's a little pricey, but it's not a longterm contract, and the one thing the Cubs have in their favor this offseason is payroll room. Interesting thought....I wouldn't be surprised at all to see Toronto move him. Since there are not that many 3rd baseman available this off season, unless the non-tendered list has some, I could see a team taking a shot at Hinske. If he could only play some OF to get more AB's for the Cubs because Lee will play 158 and who knows about Ramirez.
