  1. Because your conference is a proxy for your penis. fixed Looks like you're in trouble.
  2. Yeah but just think, how much would this shirt be worth in 2050 on e-bay if the Cubs did blow the lead? The shirt probably isn't actually shipped until the Cubs clinch division. If they do blow it people would just get a refund (much like the Bears' Super Bowl merchandise that was for sale before the game). Can you tell I'm not familiar with this type of success?
  3. No they don't. I just don't like it when the BE is attacked when it certainly is a very good conference. Who knows who the best is but I do know it isn't the worst BCS conference.
  4. The bolded part is the only thing that matters. That's all I'm trying to say. The fact that it was an ump that got him peeved like this is just plain wrong to me. Again, if that ump or any other had a problem with Bradley they should have said something when the alleged bat flip took place. Or if Bradley just kept his mouth shut and wait until the game (He already waited 3 innings) was over, none of this would've happened. Whatever the case I hope it was worth it for the ump (it might cost his job) or Bradley (playoffs). In both cases it was poorly handled. I agree it was handled poorly by both parties but I still would like to see all the facts. This ump has changed the outlook of this team by opening his mouth which he should have never done. It would be one thing if it was Helton but to me having an ump do this is so far from his job description it isn't even funny. If Bradley was the first to say something it would one thing but to have an ump yap at him and continue to do so just amazes me.

  6. I use the Canon S3 IS. Has an optical 12X zoom which makes all the difference in the world. I love it. Here are all the shots I took from yesterday for those interested and also a link for those lucky enough to be banned from Photobucket at work. :( http://www.flickr.com/photos/siuc1996/sets/72157602133186916/detail/[/qu ote] Excellent, thanks!
  7. If that ball was over the plate it's no small wonder pitchers give up so many HR's and walks. I hate this arbitrary strike zone.
  8. What kind of camera did you use for those shots?
  9. Those were great, Thanks!
  10. Imagine if Hendry traded Barrett while his value was high and brought Soto up?

  12. I love being right. Oh and LOL at Wisconsin struggling to beat Iowa at home. still big on the Big 10 bashing, but seems that Big East chatter has died down the past couple weeks. I love it when you're wrong. The Big 10 is horrible. Deal with it. Yes, Louisville sucked against Syracuse. They still have WVU and Rutgers and South Florida is looking like a very good team as well. I'm not going to excuse Louisville losing as the loss at home to Syracuse is probably the second worst loss of the year (UM to App State is No. 1). But the Big East was and still is a better conference than the Big 10. The Big East is terrible. You deal with it. Since you're sooooo proud of yourself for getting one right, can't you be big enough to admit you are wrong about one? what's next, South Florida gets dumped by UConn and then UConn becomes the new "legit" team that you prop up with this joke of a conference with? WVU does look good. now if only they would have to beat someone besides Rutgers so some of us outside your dream world could find out. you're so quick to point out the Big Ten schedule, exactly which of these victories am I supposed to be impressed by? Duke Maine Temple Western Michigan Marshall (x 2) Maryland East Carolina Southeast Missouri Oregon State Miami (OH) Buffalo Navy Norfolk State Elon Auburn UNC Murray State Midd Tenn Eastern Michigan Grambling And the 11 teams from the Big 10 beat are better? Of course, in your book Louisville is the second best team in the BE and ND is still a major power. You're still living in the preseason. Louisville was expected to be the second-best team in the BE and was expected to challenge for a BCS game just like UM was expected to challenge for a BCS game. Louisville has been disappointing, no doubt about it, and it doesn't shine well on the BE. Anytime one of your teams drops a couple games like UM, and Louisville did, it makes the conference look bad. But what is expected and what is are two different things in many cases. I thought they were going to be good but that defense is dreadful. But, since the BE has everyone play each other who's to say where the Cards will end up? It's not like they are 2-0 in the BE, they are 0-1 so who really says they are one of the top teams? Preseason hype is fun but you have to prove it on the field and they haven't. Now, if Louisville goes 6-1 in the BE, that wouldn't bode well at all. They have the talent to beat teams because of that offense, any team, but they have also proved that they can lose to any team as well.
  13. Can they do it on only 2 days rest?
  14. And since Bonds is such a swell guy I'm sure he'll sign for 1 million a year too! I'd rather spend the cash on ARod because Bonds isn't going to do this cheap imo. Come on now, stop with the crazy talk. Bonds... teehee. Seriously, though, let's be realistic about ARod. There's almost no way that the Cubs can afford him. It's not going to happen unless something really odd happens. I'd love if it did, but I wouldn't bank on it. I agree but it's fun to dream. Let's have a Mariner reunion and get Junior too.

  16. Is Ramirez he better than Madlock was? Is he catching up to Santo?
  17. Buck and his smug face won't be on so I'll be happy no matter who it is.
  18. I'm glad the PAC10 has everybody play each other again due to the 12 game schedule.
  19. I agree. Helton was just standing there and I'd love to know what he was really thinking when this was going on. He's in the playoff hunt right now so it would help his team if Bradley is suspended. This could turn out to be a very interesting situation. A good ump is never noticed and this guy, if this is true, should be severely punished imo. An ump baiting a player is just ridicules. It is but how do you get caught up in all of this in a pennant race? Just ignore the situation or deal with it some other way. Oh yeah, I agree. But imo, this is like a fan running around on the field, it should not happen. An ump has to let shut his mouth. Call Bradley on it when he threw the bat and don't yap at him later. A whole AB later. Bradley has a temper and there's no doubt about that. But, hearing something like this from an ump is just mind boggling to me. Bradley said he didn't toss his bat, have they any video proving him to be right?
  20. A bunch of fun games to watch this weekend and it'll be fun seeing who forges ahead! I still like Michigan St and I think they'll get better each week as they learn more about their new coaches system. I think Oklahoma is better than many people think and is the best in the nation. What the heck happened to Georgia Tech? Central Florida loses a close game to Texas and get just 4 votes while Texas is #7? Which is it, because if Texas is #7 CF must be pretty good then. O'Leary has done a great job down there. I think OSU, Rutgers BC and Oregon are going to be tough teams to beat and that Cincy and Missouri have been overlooked. I wish Mizzu played Texas. This football season is getting better and better. Oh yeah, for you Illinois and Iowa guys, Syracuse played more true freshman and 2 scored long TD's (They got their feet wet vs Illinois) against Louisville and you must bow to us and hope we do well in the BE to help your SOS! We, for some strange reason, have given Louisville fits. Last year we (along with Cinci) held them to their lowest point total of the year.

  22. That's exactly what should happen if we get Bonds. It won't happen, but putting Bonds at 1B will be as successful as putting Frank Thomas at 1B. Umm... Double ummm There were times where Thomas's double play throws went into LF. I can't imagine Bonds, with the shape he's in, playing 1B. Keep Lee where he belongs. When did anyone say anything about Bonds playing 1B? I'd put him at pitcher. This way he can prove he's better than Ruth once and for all.
  23. I just hope that ARod has a horrible playoffs. That will get him out of NY for good.
