  1. maholm tried to bunt for a hit, ohman started in when he saw the bunt, and the ball got popped into the bermuda triangle behind the mound how many runs will be necessary to win this game? i say 12. Is it me or does it seem that Ohman has the IQ of a rabbit?
  2. It happens. move on a hope the next guy steps up and closes the Pirates down.
  3. Not true. My Sun Devils have none. Sat, Sep 1 San Jose State W 45-3 -- Sat, Sep 8 Colorado W 33-14 -- Sat, Sep 15 San Diego State W 34-13 -- Sat, Sep 22 Oregon State 10:00 pm -- Sat, Sep 29 at Stanford 10:00 pm -- Sat, Oct 6 at Washington State TBA -- Sat, Oct 13 Washington TBA -- Sat, Oct 27 (6) California 10:00 pm -- Sat, Nov 3 at (13) Oregon 3:30 pm -- Sat, Nov 10 at UCLA TBA -- Thu, Nov 22 (1) USC 8:00 pm -- Sat, Dec 1 Arizona 8:00 pm -- Stupid A teams. I started at the end of the alphabet and didn't finish the list! Still, 1 PAC 10, I'm just amazed how the SEC can do that and no one notices.
  4. Holy crap, it just landed in my yard!
  5. I worry that they might be too anxious and lose the little patience they have. Soriano's P/PA so far this game sucks. I know, second game in a row he helps the pitcher out by jumping all over the first pitch. He's really pissing me off with that crap. Pitchers should know how to attack him but hitting the spot is another thing.

  7. Throw a little water on the fire and keep the damage to a minimum.
  8. Well people...you're my eyes and ears out there so keep me up to date and please give me the scores once in awhile. Thanks!
  9. The SEC will again have no teams playing on the road against a Non-Conference team. That's 4 weeks and only 1 of the 12 to play an away game all year, that being Tennessee which lost to Cal. Every other TEAM in the BCS has had an away game with a non league foe.
  10. Huh? EDIT- Nm, got it.. It's Waveland, though. Darn that Smithers! Waveland...thanks!
  11. Wayland Avenue.
  12. He's a smart man that Lou. Keep it on the low and do it giving Kendall a chance and Soto gradually one too and let the one who is performing get the bulk of the playing time.
  13. Against lefties: .314/.390/.587/.977 (121 AB). Of course, he was even better against righties: .363/.434/.683/1.117 (262 AB). Would he make a bigger impact than Kendall for what the Cubs need to beat a lefty? Also, are the lefties the Pirates throwing hard throwers or do they change speeds well? Jason Kendall is doing better against righties than lefties this season - neither of his splits compare to Soto's #s in the minors. I think Soto is a better option against all pitchers, he has a good approach (not as good as Kendall's) and much, much more power. Maholm is good with his command changing speeds. Duke has better stuff and throws harder. Neither has been that good this season, though (Duke especially). Don't know who the third lefty for Pittsburgh is. Thanks raisin. Well Soto gets the call today so there's another chance for him to prove himself and help the Cubs.
  14. My team had the same problem this year. The more lefties we saw the more comfortable we got. I hope the same thing happens to the Cubs.
  15. No Marquis batting 8th and Theriot 9th, eh? Nice to see Soto in there and in an opening series, that's a nice sign. I like this lineup and it's time Monroe stepped up and had a good series.
  16. Against lefties: .314/.390/.587/.977 (121 AB). Of course, he was even better against righties: .363/.434/.683/1.117 (262 AB). 17. if that were the case, I would think it would show up in P/PA and IsoD. P/PA v. lefties - 3.73 v. righties - 3.73 IsoD v. lefties 61 v. righties 62 they are not appreciably more patient against righties than they are against lefties. And that's the problem. Unless I'm reading that wrong, aren't they about the same?
  18. What I would do is have some guy in a booth that is just watching the pitcher with the use of scientific methods, kind of like they do when they mimic guys for a computer game or have his motion by motion analyzed. He knows the exact motion that say, Z uses. Once he starts to differ from the norm, take him out.
  19. I think it's partly that the Cubs don't have a CF that can help put some damage on them. They trot Jones out there with Floyd and hurts. If they put Murton out there with Jones, that helps and that guy they got from the Tigers hasn't done a thing, let's hope he wakes up this weekend. How'd Soto do with Lefties? That might help too.
  20. I haven't really watched the Sox but I am seeing the Amazing Mets just fall apart. Hey jersey, let a black cat run around at Shea for me will ya?
  21. No - its not interesting at all. For no interest he certainly seems to have quite a few posts.
