  1. Or, how about the fact that you've got 7 players on the roster who have hit over .250...... and none of them are catchers. Now who are you gonna play ? I have no idea man, but they are deftinaly playing like the Royals are playing.
  2. No kidding. That's the same thing I said to my girlfriend, and she said "Are you really obsessive to the Cubs, and do you really think you could manage the team better?" My answers to both questions was yes, and she didn't like it a bit.
  3. A team BA of .243?? OBP is .298?? Good Lord.
  4. Come on Cubs. Get out of the funk that ya'll are in. Get back in the winning track.
  5. The line-up was really good. There is one slight problem however. Why is Neifi batting 7th, while Barrett is batting 8th is beyond me. Either fix the problem in two ways. A) Have Neifi bat 8th and Barrett bat 7th. or B) Have Cedeno bat 8th and Barrett bat 7th.
  6. Ugh, another 2 men left on base. *pulls hair, and slams his fist on the table*
  7. No, no rain delay. Must be Sportsline. Nice walk Jeromy.
  8. Yes! Nice job to get out of the jam Wood!
  9. Well, I'll be. Whenever we can't get someone on base, Lee gets on the base. Whenever someone does, he can't. What in the tardination?
  10. And a good oppurnity goes wasted, AGAIN! Ugh!
  11. Well that, plus the throw was really high.
  12. Wow, we got a break there. We really need to cash this oppiturnity.
  13. Crud, one run. Good throw by Jerry to nail the runner heading towards 3rd though.
  14. I believe he wore blue in the 2003 NLDS, game 5 If I recall correctly.
  15. Yeah, it's mostly scattered, so it could go on and off. Hopefully we can get it in before it rains good.
  16. Would you happen to have Jeromy's stats on how he does after the all-star break in his career? No, I just started keeping stats on individual players this year, so I only have '05 in my database. (I was thinking maybe that long off season would be a good time to start working backwards on that.) Ah, very well. I appreciate the work you do for the stats. You do a fine job at it.

  18. I don't know about the rest of you folks, but I do like Burnitz for several reasons. 1. That he is a lefty that we sorely lacked for awhile. 2. That he is not afraid to take chances. There are several times that he has sacerficed his body just to make a catch, like Hollansworth does. 3. That he's not afraid to accept his mistakes/responsibilities. Yes, I know that 3rd base pick-off sucked, and he knew that. He could had simply said "Well I slipped and I couldn't get back in time." But he didn't. He just accepted that it was his fault.
  19. Well, this losing streak is really starting to annoy me. If we want to make a move, right now is the good time to do it. Both Atlanta and Florida are in the WC race as Chicago is. If we can get 5 wins out of 7 games before the All-Star, that would be fantastic.
  20. Unbelieveable. If we could had only get people on base.... *sigh*
  21. Wow! What a freak play, and we still managed to get the 3rd out.
