    I'm pretty sure they showed both Greenberg and Murton on the bench earlier on WGN. Yeah, Greenberg is on the bench and in uniform. He went for the tests earlier today. But there's no way he's playing today. Naw, he won't be able to play at least until after the break I would assume. When he was in the hospital, it was nice for Wood to volunteer to monitor Greenburg. Nice walk Burnitz.

    I can understand that. Like most of us were complaining, the 12 pitchers. I think that is hurting us more than it's helping us IMHO.

    wow I thought everything HAD to be captioned...that sucks for him. Hopefully they'll do it for people like your brother. I've always wanted to learn sign language, it intrigues me. Well when I got this DVD, I can't recall when it was, but it didn't have any sub-titles or anything like that, so that's why I was hoping to see if WGN will be supporting closed captioning for the movie. I might have to e-mail them fine folks at This Old Cub to see if I can figure out a way to get a DVD with the closed captioning, without paying too much, since I already have bought it and all. I looked up on TV listings on Yahoo, and it did say "7:00 p.m. This Old Cub TVPG, CC" So it appears that it is. And not everything had to be captioned, since I'm assuming that it costs extra during a broadcast or something, you know? At least the good thing is that he can now watch the Cubs on WGN, since the baseball games are closed captioned.

    Wow.... if Jim does make this trade, then he'll be, oh, how can I say it nicely? "Dumbest GM in 05?" *shrug* McDougal isn't too bad, but he's like a Farnsworth from what I saw. 03, had a good year, 04, imploded, was optioned to Omaha, and all. Affeldt is a run giving up guy. I can recall seeing some Royals games that the Royals were either blowing out or being blown out, that where Affeldt would be in, and give up 3 runs or so. We don't need any more pitching, or if that's the case, then at least Hendry should get someone worlds better than those two. But we do deftinaly need some more offense, that's for sure.

    I wouldn't want to watch the Royals. It would just remind me of how bad the Cubs are doing right now. But I agree. I think it's time for Maddux to call it after the end of 2005 season.

    Heh heh, good try though :D I know, right? People weren't exactly in a froth, posting all night about this. I'm shocked this thread has so many responses actually. It's not like the Nomar trade... Well, it was bound to happen one way or another. It was either both of these guys going to AAA and bringing up some guys from the AAA, or making a trade to a different team. Still, I am very very very disappointed to the Front Office about why Macias and Wilson is still on the team. If they really think that Corey is having troubles, then what in the world would you call Macias and Wilson? In my opinion, both of them are NOT Major League Baseball talent. Yet, it's pisses me off that every freaking day, there has to be a Macias PH'ing or Wilson PH'ing. Give me 2 names on either the Iowa team, or players who are in FA that are better than those two. I'm sure it's not very hard to find some names that would contribute better than Macias and Wilson.
