the cubs are really working with many chips this season, which should enable them to, if smart, go far into the post-season. too bad hendry doesn't get it sometimes...

the future? unless im mistaken he's a free agent after this season. I don't think he's a very good player anymore but this isnt the worst deal hes done. the money isnt an issue for the Cubs and its a buy low chance. there's a pretty damn good chance kendalls obp is .340+ the rest of the season. power? no but as long as hes not an auto out im happy. There really are uninformed fans here...first thing A's and Pirates are basically paying for Kendall, Cubs getting $1M, second he is FA after this year, no risk. 3rd Bowen was simply a body and some knowledge regarding what SD knows on Hill...Blevins is not a real prospect of note, a chance average FB, change and curve. That all said, what Kendall has is a CERA...best in baseball, hmmm that is not an offensive number for the fantasy heads, and he did have a good June at the plate, back at his usual numbers. ... You are showing just how uniformed the fans are, by using the ridiculous CERA stat, but thanks for showing how "informed" you are. :lol: oh man, that was a good laugh. how can kendall NOT have the best CERA, when he catches THE BEST ROTATION IN BASEBALL? the most ridiculous stat i've ever heard of.

I know he's not in the lineup tonight, but Cliff Floyd really seems like the best #2 hitter in our lineup. He clearly doesn't have his power anymore, but he's still getting on base and having nice lengthy at bats. derrek lee, please. perfect two hole hitter. i'm serious.

On page 8 I believe. (Not sure if it's "Official") Theriot Fontenot Lee Ramirez Soriano DeRosa Kendall Pagan Marshall man, i'd rather see lee at 2 with how he's hitting, and everyone else moved up, with fontenot sliding into the 7 spot.
