  1. anyone know if novoa gained the weight back that he lost during his illness? how was he @ iowa?
  2. he's a clubhouse cancer. he's lucky to be playing at all! I have to eat crow so far this year because I was one of "those people" who said to trade Walker because we need better defense. Shows how much this arm-chair GM knows.... :x as long as the cubs win, none of the armchair gming matters
  3. No I'm sorry that would belong to Major League Baseball for Mattel Electronics Intellivision. . RED vs BLUE. What could you want more as a child than a 10 run 9th inning comeback via the blue team?? was that one of those hand held games?
  4. he's a clubhouse cancer. he's lucky to be playing at all!
  5. Brilliant game. I spent a good majority of my childhood throwing those wacky pitches. Remember the hit that when it hits the ground an earthquake happens and none of the fielders can move, but you can. Good stuff. the cannonball, the lightning, the stop pitch! you could play the games in space, etc. man. that was the first game i can remember where you could name the players and give them the attributes you wanted. for some reason, i named the clean up hitter after my girlfriend and made her a power hitter.  :D
  6. matt murton's sister?
  7. anyone ever play baseball simulator 2000(maybe it was 3000)? best baseball video game ever.
  8. It was an amazing play to get one...deep in the hole...diving stop. thanks. i was on the gamecenter, and saw groundout to short, but dude was on second. when i refreshed after posting the comment i saw a bunch of RONNY's in caps, so i figured it must have been a good defensive play.
  9. anyone know why that wasn't a double play?
  10. 1-2 count and you hit the guy?
  11. 11-6 cubs, bottom 9th Suhhhhh-weet! outside of wuertz it's been a very good game.
  12. he does that on his own sometimes. never understood why though. yeah I'm hoping that's the case, I don't think Dusty is that dumb, to bunt slow Ramirez over with your hottest hitter. i don't know why any manager, even dusty, would ask a hitter as hot as barrett to bunt, in any situation.
  13. he does that on his own sometimes. never understood why though.
  14. You should use your best relievers in your most critical situations. Using Williamson as he was used today was well done by Baker, in my opinion. Good point. In general though, I stay with my idea. of course there's no way to know for sure, but that critical situation probably doesn't come up if baker uses marshall correctly and not scared.
  15. the cbs glog is still messed up with the score. ahhh
  16. He was right not to swing at that pitch. It was a horrible call. what's the deal with bad calls against murton so far this year? balls, strikes and i think he should have been safe on a few infield singles.
  17. At the beginning of the season I'd have disagreed with you, because Howry was healthy and Williamson had yet to prove that, but now I agree with you. 8th inning righty setup man should be Williamson; Eyre should be the lefty 8th inning setup man. Demote Howry to the 7th innings. werd.
  18. Did Chad Fox retire? nevermind, i see the above post.
