  2. If that happens, I will buy you and your girlfriend/wife dinner! Promise! I don't think he wants his wife to know about his girlfriend.
  3. Did she call it a charge? Did you actually see the play happen? It was not a charge. Yes believe it or not we have cable here. I was busting Sulley's chops for slappin' his mama.
  4. Did she call it a charge?
  5. Wood is also rumored to have been the boom box attacker. I saw that interview and Woody actually said something very subtle about Sosa; something like "no matter what you thought of him or what kind of person he was he always came to play." LOL, that tells me he was a troublemaker. Sosa wouldn't accept a Cubs bench position and, more importantly, the Cubs aren't offering. EDIT: Here is Kerry's exact quote:"The impact he had on the game -- he brought the fans back, him and McGwire," Cubs pitcher Kerry Wood said. "They filled the stadiums. That was fun to be a part of. Like I've always said about Sammy, he always came ready to play. No matter what kind of person he was, or what people wrote about him, or people said about him, he was ready to play for 162 games. I've still yet to see somebody prepare the way he did. He was a superstar." Sosa's work ethic makes Kerry look like a lazy dog. I think Kerry might have suddenly realized that. Sosa became a superstar by taking the field every single day----tired or not, hurt or not. Then there's Kerry: a man who was blessed with amazing talent, sat on his laurels, refused to learn how to pitch, and blew himself up in his mid-20's. Kerry should bow down and kiss Sosa's feet. Sosa's a Hall of Fame candidate and Wood is the biggest pitching bust of a generation. He has no place saying anything *BUT* what he just said. A lot of guys work hard with little production. Sosa's numbers are tainted whether or not he gets into the HOF. Wood was trying to be gracious but no one owes Sammy any extra respect much less a kiss of the feet. I don't see in his (Wood's) quote where he was slamming on Sammy. I see the part where he said "no matter what kind of person he was". Just because Sosa wasn't Kerry's kind of person why does that make Sammy a cancer. I'm sure Rodman wasn't MJ's kind of person but hey it worked out ok. Kerry played with him longer than anyone else on the team but I guess he is the only person to ever have a problem with Sammy... I wonder what Mark Grace and Ryne Sandberg (or Kenny Lofton) would say? Heck, last year Sammy had some clubhouse problems in Baltimore. It's not like I didn't enjoy his production for several years but after learning about some of the behind the scenes issues I don't view him in the same light. Also, comparing Rodman with Sosa isn't fair. Sammy was the superstar which is why he had no problem being overbearing. Rodman only got a spot on the roster with MJ's approval (IIRC, Reinsdorf asked both Jordan and Pippen if they would play with Rodman. They only agreed after talking to him).. But the name of the game is to win. There is no way that all the Yankees (choose them since they are "winners") get along nor should someone expect 25 grown men to get along. I like your analogy of the Rodman/Sosa comparison. Kerry, who has been more of a role player, like Rodman, seemed to have an issue with the superstar of the team. Now that I think about it, that is life Kerry and if you don't like then become the superstar you've been projected to be but yet become.

  8. Who you callin' a bottom feeder?
  9. And you're all going down come September. 1st you have to finish somewhere higher than 11th before you become a threat to win it all. :P
  10. Filled. And Warp is going down in week one.
  11. I would like that vera much. Texas 80 Mizzou 50 I think this one is much more likely. Oh cmon, I've got 5 hours to live in delusion before the basketball team puts a cap on this crappy day. Let me dream. But Saturday should improve your spirits.
  12. 1st the Lady Vols lose 2 in a row and now this.
  13. Vance you have a new trade waiting for you.
  14. Hill has played a total of 11 games this year and is hurt again. So basically it was KMart for Duncan and there is no way that is a straight up deal.
  15. Difference is you haven't made the playoffs before you sold off your team. You're more like the Pirates.
  16. Come on Vance, I would have given you more for Duncan.
  17. Crazy Ronnie is active again. Here I come.
  18. Try and get 2 teams that way you can trade with yourself. J/K but it seems to happen more than you would think.
  19. Oden had 33 points, 17 boards and 6 blocks. The announcers called him the best defensive (high school) center they've ever seen. The dude is 18 and looks about 25. There ought to be an investigation. what was your impression of gordon? i should've taped it. Slow start. They made some halftime adjustments and he started to score in the second half. His team is not on the same playing level as Lawrence North. I would like to see the 4 teams that are better than LN in the country since they are #5. As far as Oden looking 25, not sure where that comes from. Is it because he is filled out more than most 18 year olds? He is at the school 2 hours before it starts working on his game and lifting weights. I had the chance to meet him the summer between his sophmore and junior seasons and everything the announcers were saying about him being grounded and well-mannered are correct. Unlike other high-schoolers with that much hype, he still treats everyone and still wants to be treated as an average guy.
  20. So because of the washed up, bullpen-battler signing the Cards are going to the series? Hmm. Well, makes sense to me! im pretty sure he was sarcastic. Yeah I read it too fast, so either it was all sarcasm or no sarcasm. I went with the former. GOD I'M AN IDIOT. GEEZ. Attack your post, not yourself. Yes, let's not call anyone an idiot even if it is yourself.
  21. Leapfrogged Raw last week into 3rd place while missing 3 key players.
  22. Unless someone crosses the foul line extended or equipment or building then no foul can be called: http://www.bowl.com/downloads/pdf/rules/USBC%20Playing%20Rules+CAQ.pdf
  23. Its really awesome getting in another team's head. You become really vocal and loud and cocky. Other team (who is better than you) becomes disjointed and loses focus. We then win. My buddies and I aren't cutthroat bowlers, but our emphasis is having fun and getting under people's skins. Not being just total jerks to them like rubbing stuff in their face, just being loud and obnoxious. Not directed at you Mark but rant anyway: You can be loud all you want. Punch or kick something in the middle of my backswing and someone is going to have to pull me off of you. Loud drunks don't bother me since most times my game gets turned up a notch (usually involves asking other party to put their money where their mouth is) and then they just become drunks but the punching and kicking of crap or dropping the ball on the floor is unacceptable and will be stopped. I punch and kick stuff all the time. Most of the time not on the lane, but I punch my towel, throw my towel, throw my rosin bag (preferably at the lame dude on the other team), etc. What REALLY irritates me is when we get guys who after they throw a strike come onto your lane. Pet Peeve.. Only do that if the guy(s) on either side decide to keep jumping up on me. If you keep getting up on the approach while I'm taking the 2 seconds to get set and go, then you can bet at some point I am going to drift into your lane.
  24. I don't know, I just listed off a car manufacturer. I think they only use Chevy, Ford, and Dodge. Probably won't use foreign cars b/c most of the fans a rednecks and they wouldn't like that. Not true Toyota is involved in the NASCAR Truck series and I believe they are working on getting in the NEXTEL series as well.
  25. Thank god, I haven't, My family would disown me. Have you? Bowling is on a separate level than Basketball, Football, etc... More importantly to me, it is a on a separate level than the sports I still am active in... Jogging, Skiing, Baseball, Kayaking, Hiking, etc. Those are much more demanding than Bowling, regardless of time consumption. Not anymore, I am a part-time bowler, bowl twice a month in a league, that averages around 205. In college the answer was yes as far as number of games thrown in a week. My argument was based on looking at the pro bowlers. These guys throw around 100 games a week (some practice, most in competition) and in order to make a paycheck have to average around 225. Of your list there is only two sports the rest are recreational activities. And of those how many can you drink a beer while participating??
