  1. They tracked down some of Cecil Fielder's and Q's old pants
  2. Ryan Franklin? I was watching tv last night (late) and swore I heard some St. Louis writers talking about the signing.
  3. number 882 last night. Looked like the refs won't have to worry about their annual hearing examines after last night. Both Bob's were giving them an earful (and they deserved it). The loss of Walker is huge for KSU but ol' Huggie will adjust. He may struggle because of the loss of Walker. Just wait until that class comes in next year. And it looks like Campbell may turn into a pretty decent center as well.
  4. Yep. TT and I were responding to OCF, who hates BP like I hate eating liver. Time to lock the thread at that comment. :-&
  5. Ha quit being on the west coast and then ESPN and Full Court will pick you up. What a joke. Meanwhile Duke's practice will be shown tonight, you know cause of their program's history. Maybe it's due to the clean history at Duke. Do you know who Myron Piggie is? Ask Coach K about him and Corey Maggette then get back to me with their clean history. awesome response, thank you. Unfortunately, ESPN doesn't talk about that whole thing because they've cast their financial lot with Duke. Yeah I find it ironic that most people don't know about it, yet feel free to rip on other schools. Who's Myron Piggie? http://sports.yahoo.com/ncaab/news?slug=dw-ncaafavorites&prov=yhoo&type=lgns
  6. He was going against Oden. Cut him some slack. I am very impressed you guys played them that well. I wonder if they are starting to hit the wall abit with all of those frosh. Oden only blocked 1 of his shots. The other big man blocked 3 or 4 more. And it's not just OSU. Same thing happened as a frosh, understandably, in the Big Ten and against Alleyne at Kentucky. I'm not impressed by playing with anybody. IU has the coaching and talent to compete, especially if they shoot well. They gotta be better down the stretch though. Would have been a huge road win against the best team in the conference. Give them 1 of the games they have lost late (Butler, Duke, UK, OSU) and they are a tourney lock. You do realize the impact Oden has is felt at all times? You always are worrying about where he is and as a result will sometimes get your shot blocked by a guy you aren't paying the closest attention too. I also think you might be over estimating your talent level. It is good, but nothing to warrant beating any of those teams you mentioned. I understand Oden's impact. But again, I am talking about the times when Oden was out. DJ had 3 shots blocked with Oden on the bench, and didn't dominate like he should with him out. The other guy (whatever his name was) is a good player also, but shouldn't be a dominant force over a player like White. And I don't know how the talent doesn't warrant beating any of those teams, when they played them all close til the final 2 minutes on the road, and 3 of them while missing a key player. DJ has had this problem before. It's not just Oden. He really needs to get tougher down low and/or IU needs to develop another scoring threat down low. DJ needs a little help. They are still struggling to get to the line as well. I guess I may have to just accept that they are a jump shooting team and they are going to live or die by it. "Moral victories" annoy me. They need to start winning a few games like this. They had several chances to win this game, the Duke game and the UK game. Playing a tough schedule doesn't mean anything if you lose all the tough games. I would think that would tell DJ he is no where ready to jump to the next level. He needs all 4 years to develop. I think Sampson will get more out of him than Davis ever would have. It's just too bad he had 2 years of no coaching.

I guess I should have used the sarcasm button. I was digging on both schools with that comment. Although that was a single incident at Duke (that we know of) and UCLpAy has their history with Sam Gilbert.

  9. Agreed. They played 20 minutes of good basketball and 20 minutes of basketball where they showed their main problem of not defending the 3 and when their guards go cold then their offense struggles. Very glad to see the milestone reached and now they can get back to playing the way they played prior to closing in on the record.
  10. Coach Knight won game number 878 yesterday and should have the record by the new year. If they can get an inside presence they could make a run in the tournament again this year because their guards are a solid group.
  11. I'm not a doctor but I don't think a sprain is a break :P But then again a chin chop is now a punch. ](*,)
  12. Are you riding the same bus as me? Cause there is no way everyone here will be happy at the same time, other than a WS and even then someone will find fault in it.
  13. I don't know about the eat crow comment but since Greg has come over the stats for the big 4 pitchers: CZ: 68 starts, 455.2 IP, 30 wins, and 3.07 ERA MP: 48 starts, 385.1 IP, 17 wins, and 3.85 ERA KW: 32 starts, 206.1 IP, 11 wins, and 3.88 ERA GM: 72 starts, 465.0 IP, 33 wins, and 3.95 ERA
  14. My hand is up as well. Only if we didn't spend the $9m on Maddux we could have had him.
  15. Correction. He is the ace of the staff until someone else can prove otherwise.
  16. What are you talking about? Barrett was catching last night. Everybody knows that Barrett is such a terrible catcher that none of our pitchers can pitch to him. What exactly are you trying to pull here? What are you talking about? Everyone knows Maddux blows in the 1st half of the season. Can't wait until the 2nd half of the season and Blanco is catching for him.
  17. Easy there, tiger. Got one more out to get first! Why is everyone "tiger" to you?
  18. You and a few others should have a party together and the theme should be: "Ridiculous premature comments that oppose all logical thought." I'd come, it'd be a blast. I'll even bring the jello shots. That's a little harsh. Not so much. Badger is from Wisconsin and they know how to make jello shots.
  19. too bad he's a 2nd half pitcher  It'd be so huge if he could pitch consistently like this and hold up the rotation while Marshall, Rusch, and Williams are starting. So the whole season?
  20. This is like a presidential election. You only have 2 to chose from. May not be the best 2 but the only 2 you have to pick from.
  21. Are you kidding? Find a post where someone has said it is 100% unacceptable to swing at the first pitch in any situation. You won't be able to find one. Of course we're going to complain if a batter makes an out on the first pitch. Making an out on the first pitch is essentially the most worthless at-bat possible. You should only swing at the first pitch if it's exactly what you're looking for and you're able to do something good with it. If you hit a homerun or get a hit, great, you didn't waste your one pitch at bat. But if you make an out (which Cubs players tend to do when they swing at the first pitch), you've had the worst at bat possible. Worse than hitting into a triple play? Just imagine a one-pitch triple play. kinda off the subject but did you see where Gonzaga made triple plays in back to back innings last week
  22. Mark is like Kobe Bryant. He is not sharing with others but so long as we keep winning no one cares.
