  1. Can we also get Eberflus and Waldron to bench themselves for a game?
  2. Well, right now we are on a pace to be in the college football playoff so it is quite possible we get the chance to see how we matchup with some of the teams in front of us. This entire season feels like a fever dream. I've been at the FIU, UCLA, Maryland, Nebraska and Washington games, and I'll be at the Michigan game in two weeks.
  3. I will admit I am down pretty bad right now. The game yesterday sucked a lot of optimism out of me, maybe something about being at the game makes it all feel more visceral. It was the first full game I've watched this season. Week 1, I was at the Texans-Colts game and only caught highlights of the Bears-Titans game. Week 2, I was flying back from California and only got to catch the 4th quarter at a bar. I get there is a learning and adjustment process in play, but I still cannot fathom how the Bears did not commit harder to the interior running game against a Colts defense that has sucked against the run in the first two games and with Buckner being out. The Colts fans around me were laughing at how much the Bears kept running to the outside. I'm not mad at all at Caleb, he is going through his learning process and honestly had no idea he had so many passing yards until seeing the box score after the game. The offense as a whole definitely had a more productive day compared to the first two weeks. In regards to Waldron learning new personnel, outside of Caleb the rest of the offense is comprised of NFL veterans. I would think he could have watched enough film to know the strength/weaknesses of the individual players by now. Growing pains are understandable but the way things have unfolded, especially yesterday, is what has me concerned and quite frankly feeling like this coaching staff just isn't it. I'll be back for more punishment in Week 4, but man. I feel so bad today.
  4. Got home from the game a bit ago. I didn't leave Lucas Oil Stadium feeling good whatsoever about that game. The series in goal-to-go territory with 4 straight running plays capped off by a failed option play on 4th down kind of broke me.
  5. I'll be at this game. Colts are down Buckner plus a corner (Brents) and their defense has been suspect, especially against the running game. If the Bears cannot establish the run in this game, I will be extremely disappointed. Bears defense should be able to turn over Richardson 2+ times. Overall, given the Bears issues on offense, I cannot be overly confident. But our defense is way better than the Colts defense. If the offense can get the running game cooking and give Caleb a chance to succeed instead of eating crap all game, I like the Bears by 3 points.
  6. The OL makes me sad. I did not watch the entire game, only the 4th quarter after getting back from California. The pressure numbers Houston had is insane. 36 hurries and 48% pressure rate? The Colts defense has been getting gutted by the running game through two games, so if the Bears are going to get the run game going, this has to be the week.
  7. Nah. I'm thinking 8-4 at worst right now.
  8. I loved it! The city is definitely awesome, even setting aside the football game which went very well for me of course! 😁
  9. Traveling to Pasadena tomorrow, got a ticket for the IU-UCLA game so I'll be there for the weekend. I simply could not pass up the opportunity to say I got to see IU play in the Rose Bowl. 😆
  10. I definitely like the Bears defense over the Colts defense. The one area I would favor for Indy is their OL.
  11. From watching Colts-Texans, one thing that stood out is the Colts were able to get behind the Texans defense on some deep routes. Richardson was able to hit on a couple of them, but he also had pretty good protection to let those plays develop. Texans dominated the TOP at a 2:1 ratio (40 minutes vs 20 minutes). Feels like a game that is bound to be a loss unless the offense gets it together quickly. Hoping to split these next two games. Indy is definitely beatable.
  12. I'm all aboard the 31-131 train right now. Imagine if they finished 100 games below .500 lmao.
  13. Thread title overdue for an update. Something like 'White Sox are a dumpster fire of an organization'.
  14. This was the game I just assumed the Cubs would lose before the series started so I was really banking on winning the first two games. Yeah, not so much.
  15. Vargas 0-8 and looks like Eloy 2.0 playing LF, oof!
  16. I was watching the game with a buddy and I said Wisdom would either strike out or hit a grand slam. As such, I feel like Nostradamus at least to a certain extent.
  17. What a Cob-tastic start to the 2nd half of the season.
  18. They have my attention again, I'll take that given how rough the last two months have been.
