    The CUBS are division champs because they won more games than anyone else in the division. No d00d.. they backed into a playoff spot. 8.5 GB in late June and somehow 3.0 game lead at the very end. Just a 12.5 game difference. Big whoop. No, they bought the division title. They spent $300 million this year! Absolutely. You nailed it. All these other teams in our division, they were playing for love of the game and a ice cold soda pop after every game. The Brewers don't even pay their players. 8-)

    I turned the channel and was watching the UConn game. What was the final score? 33-19. Notre Dame drove down the field a few times and got the lead to 26-19 with 7 minutes left in the game. Purdue added an insurance TD, and then Sharpley threw an INT in the red zone after ND had driven down there with about 3 1/2 minutes left that sealed the game. The total yards between the two teams was actually close for the first time all season. Purdue had 441 yards to ND's 431 yards. Purdue has a bad defense. They gave up 28 points in one half to Minnesota last week.

    calm down, Iowa will find a way to make your lead stand :D Yeah I just felt like I was seeing the same bad movie again. I had to take a break from the game. Huge win for IU. 4-1, 1-1. The prospects of going bowling just got a lot brighter. 8-)

    It's a good thing IU can't stand a 21-0 lead. We are just giving it away. I hate being an IU football fan. Why can't we have just one year where things turn around??? JUST ONE STINKING YEAR!!! :x

    I'm not upset. I pretty much saw this coming after the Cubs dropped the first game of the series. Marquis and Traschel? Bleh. The Cubs have Zambrano, Hill and Lilly pitching a series against a Reds team missing Griffey and Dunn. If the Cubs suck bad enough to blow that opportunity, then it's not even worth my time getting upset about it.

    I'm pretty confident the Cubs will win if the Marlins don't score anymore runs. Pull Marquis as soon as he lets ANYONE on base and go from there.
