While I am skeptical of Hawaii, I do agree they should get a BCS bid now. 12-0, give it to them and see what they are made of. But I still don't see them being another Boise State or anything....that team was kinda special IMO.

I'd be all for it. I think that would cause the implementation of a tournament within the next three years. May as well, the extreme underdog element might prove more interesting than seeing OSU get killed by a SEC team. Then again.....OSU fans are insufferable enough as it is. :oops:

The way this reads, if LSU ends up playing Ohio State then the Rose Bowl would only be able to accept Georgia if the Sugar Bowl consents. So why would the Sugar Bowl consent to giving up Georgia?

I thought it was a TD. But college refs suck. He got a foot down in bounds either way, but we still shouldn't have played so weak defensively. I hear you. The refs screwed IU on a fumble call at the end of our game last week but I didn't even much care because we did so much wrong before that.

Unfortunately that's quite possible. One bad thing about OSU losing is that it cost the Big 11 a bowl bid. They had seven bowl tie-ins plus a likely OSU title game bid, but with the loss OSU will get one of the seven bids that otherwise would have gone to another team. I really haven't seen a scenario where a 7 win Indiana team doesn't get a bowl bid. I'm highly skeptical of that being a realistic outcome.

I watched the game, and the loss is inexcusable and unforgiveable. They had the game under control, but let Northwestern back in the game due to a total boneheaded coaching call that anybod that follows college football would know better than to make. When you have a redshirt freshman coming into the game at quarterback cold on 3rd-and 6 you ABSOLUTELY DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ask him to pass. You run the ball and if necessary punt and play defense. The result was so predictable; interception, touchdown Northwestern, and they're back in the game. That one call could well wind up costing the Hoosiers the entire season. If that happens they should not under any circumstances consider Lynch for the permanent head coaching job. This is the same coach who led Ball State to consecutive seasons of 1-10 and 0-11, after all. You captured my thoughts perfectly. It is such a major breakdown in proper coaching strategy that I really can't trust Bill Lynch anymore. If he is dumb enough to allow that to happen, who knows what is next? This Indiana team should be bowling. If they lose to Purdue and miss getting a bowl invite, it will be the worst waste of talent I've seen in my lifetime. This Hoosier squad, with the schedule they have, should be bowling no question about it.
