  1. So can Indiana beat Penn State? I hope so. :?
  2. 4 hours, 21 minutes to play 9 innings. Are you serious??
  3. The IU game sucked. Oh well. We'll get our 6th win sooner or later. LSU and Cal both lose. Unreal. Here comes Ohio State as the #1 team in the next polls.
  4. Nice baserunning by Moises Drew.
  5. It's nice seeing Indiana getting some votes now. 8-)
  6. And why do we have to be stuck with Ron Darling and Dick Stockton for a whole series anyways?
  7. Augie Ojeda is laughing his ass off.....on the inside.
  8. Nothing like going out with a whimper. Good job Rodrigo!
  9. Who cares about that? The Cubs are have scored FOUR RUNS in this entire series. Lou could have brought Cy Young back from the dead and pitched him every game. It don't matter when you can't score.
  10. Good job Aramis, just stand there and watch you big galoot!
  11. Illinois at Indiana in hindsight might have been one of the biggest games in the Big Ten this season. 8-)
  12. Ball State is down 21-7 to CMU? Hmmm.
  13. Notre Dame is officially the 4th best team in the state of Indiana so.......yeah that is why Purdue vs OSU gets all the Midwest coverage. 8-)
  14. My thoughts exactly. With Zambrano as the game 4(if neccessary) starter, that would leave Ted Lilly or even Jason Marquis against Brandon Webb, and I dont like our odds in that matchup. The only thing the Cubs do better than making bad pitchers look good is making good pitchers look really good. Marquis? Lilly would pitch that game on his normal rest. If Marquis pitches in Game 5 then we are beat anyways.
  15. How many points would Notre Dame score against the Louisville defense?
  16. I honestly can't say the Cubs have ever driven me to break anything. When they got paddled by the Giants in 1989, I was too young to know better and thought they would be right back in the NLCS the next year. In 1998, I might have thrown a few things around my dorm room at IU after the Game 2 loss where Tapani took a shutout to the 9th inning but not much more. In 2003, I mainly just flung my hat violently and then slumped back in my chair in some kind of trance of disgust. So yeah, mainly I just yell a lot and throw my hat. Really the Bears and Pacers seem to piss me off more than the Cubs do. Meh.
  17. I'd rather not see the Cubs losing their composure on the field in the heat of the moment. Lilly last night reminded me of Moises Alou after the Bartman episode. If a guy needs to throw a fit, save it for the dugout or the clubhouse. But between the lines, keep your head.
  18. Indiana needs to get a little revenge on this week. Minnesota started the downfall of our 2006 bowl hopes with a 63-26 pasting in the Rollerdome. Being 5-1 heading into East Lansing is essential. I take nothing for granted. :)
  19. I really don't feel like sleeping tonight but I guess I better since I'll literally be up all the night the next two days. :P
  20. Maybe it's just me but if I was Bud Black, I think I would have pitched Peavy today rather than sticking with Brett freaking Tomko. I don't get the mentality of "saving" Peavy for a one game playoff....seems like it would be better to throw Peavy against a mediocre Brewers team and avoid a playoff as opposed to now traveling to Colorado to play a hot Rockies team.
  21. The CUBS are division champs because they won more games than anyone else in the division. No d00d.. they backed into a playoff spot. 8.5 GB in late June and somehow 3.0 game lead at the very end. Just a 12.5 game difference. Big whoop. No, they bought the division title. They spent $300 million this year! Absolutely. You nailed it. All these other teams in our division, they were playing for love of the game and a ice cold soda pop after every game. The Brewers don't even pay their players. 8-)
