  1. Supposdly Lou was stuggling with who to bat 2nd tonight either Theriot or Jones. He said he could still change his mind before the game too. I think Id rather see Jones there with his ridiculous numbers against the Cardinals.
  2. Sure is funny that when healthy, hes been the everyday RF. He hasnt shown any pop at all this year(minus the last 2 days, and his foul balls) and this all while hitting 4th and 5th.
  3. Soriano Theriot Lee ARam Floyd DeRosa Jones Kendall Z Thanks
  4. Have you not watched this Cubs offense? Its pretty had to predict Yeah, that's definitely true. BTW Keener, you may want to rethink your sig now that Floyd has brought his numbers up by 170-180 points or so in the 3 days since you last updated it :D It really doesn't bother me, I'm just expressing my happiness that he finally is doing something and has brought his numbers up over the last two months up so fast :D. I was waiting for somebody to say something about the sig. If he continues this for say a week then Ill change it, but until then, even Neifi Perez has had 2 good games in a row. Believe me Id love to get Cliff FLoyd hot for the final 2 weeks, but Im not holding my breath eaither.
  5. Comcast just reported the Demetius Jones didnt travel with ND, and is highly considering transferring.
  6. Still no lineups? Damnit I need to decide to play Lee or bench him pretty soon

  8. look at Wainwright's second half numbers versus what Zambrano's been doing lately... if there's a mismatch it's in favor of the Cardinals. Look at his stats against us. i'm just assuming that's a fluke, since the cubs suck at hitting Yea Im not going to read too much into 14 innings against us.
  9. Hilarious, this post should be stickied
  10. Well we have a minor league hockey team that's getting very good support even though we're close to the Rivermen in Peoria. Normal may be built around those colleges, but Bloomington is built around State Farm. There's a lot of people with too much money on their hands and not enough entertainment in town. I'm guessing there would be plenty of attendance. True I forgot about the hockey team over there now. Also true about State Farm, and to a lesser extent even DiamondStar. I guess it could work with the attendance, I guess I just jumped the gun a little.
  11. Experience man, experience
  12. I dont know if they could survive in Normal. Normal is built around ISU and IWU mainly, and I really dont see college kids going to a bunch of games(not to mention that most of them wouldnt even be there since it would be summer), and the proximity to Peoria probably wouldnt help either.
  13. Oh crap career threatening surgery!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That has been their theme, eh? I'm glad Lee had the day off and I was hoping Lou was going to do it anyway, He looks like he needs a day off to recharge. Huh? He has a 1.073 OPS in the month of Sept.
  14. If he steps on the mound doesnt he have to throw at least 1 pitch? Actually, since the Astros would be using a pinch hitter, I believe Lou is allowed to pull Rich in order to react to the new hitter. Don't quote me on that though. I think the rule is if he makes contact with the mound he has to throw 1 pitch, but Rich was standing behind the mound so I dont know if he ever made contact. I could very well be wrong though Once a PH is announced the other team is allowed to make any move they want. Ok that makes sense I dont know where I came up with what I was saying lol
  15. Glad you noticed  He pitched a hell of a game, but it is still 100% fair to comment on his terrible bunting ability. I'd hate to see him up in the playoffs with men on 1st and 2nd and nobody out. If he pitches the way he did tonight who cares. Soriano would be following him and our 136 million dollar man should be counted on to do something with the bat moreso than Rich I care because it is his primary job at the plate as a SP. Its really not that hard to do. There should be a greater probablity of Hill getting the bunt down in that situation compared to Soriano getting a hit. Bunting a Major league fastball or curveball is not as easy as you are making it.

  18. He really does need to learn to bunt.[/quote If he continues pitching gems like this I could care less if he walks to the plate and takes his ab without a bat
  19. Hill coming back out wow. Whats his pitch count?
  20. If he steps on the mound doesnt he have to throw at least 1 pitch?
  21. Why am I not surprised, that I check the rants section, and the Rich Hill Learn to bunt thread is bumped.
  22. You might want to check Eyres stats lately before you act like hes horrible. After his rough start, and demotion to mop up, his numbers are great.
  23. Had a 3.50 ERA in A ball this year... 60ish Ks in 75ish innings How old is he? Thought I read he was 23 or 24 -- I'll double check Damn if so thats wayyy old for A ball
