Applebees? *shudders* You dont like Applebees? Bourbon street steak? Grilled shrimp?Potatoes? Yummm. Oh and I bought a 20oz Pepsi, and under the cap I won a free 20 oz. Im seriously considering not working OT tonight and just going over to the Riverboat. If I'm up for drinks and watching whatever popular sports game is on, I don't mind sitting at Crapplebee's and having the appetizer sampler for dinner, because I'd rather get drunk there than at the bar. Serves pretty much the same purpose Chili's does. Beyond that, it's really not worth it. I'd much rather eat at Taco Hell. Wow you must have eaten at some terrible Applebees. Im not saying they are the greatest(Id much prefer Texas Roadhouse) but in the Pekin area they are about the only place Ive found so far with a decent steak. then there's the Applebee's in Coralville where a lizard was found in a salad a few short years ago (no, not an urban legend) Ive heard lizard makes for a good salad.....

Cubs are 12-13 against lefties since June 1st, 5-2 since August 26th, they are hitting left handers and tomorrow they will mash this AAA starter again. Zack Duke is a AAA starter? Umm ok

Dont worry guys this is my day so that means Brewers are losing. Cubs win, so I decided to call Applebees and get a steak via carside service. I got there had to wait for like 5 mins at the most, and the lady comes out and says the meal is free since I had to wait, Im like "umm, OK? So yea the Brewers are going to lose, its my day

That's weird. After living in GA for 5.5 years and attending more games at Turner than I have at any other stadium, there was exactly one game where the fans were obnoxious, and it was just a couple of teenagers. I didn't know any of the people that attended games there cared enough about baseball to even know the significance of 1908 in the first place. I was also there for a Braves-Mets game in 03 (Cubs beat Dontrelle in Florida that day, 16-2) when the whole stadium emptied out in the 7th inning with the Braves down by four, so when they scored 6 in the 8th to win it, it was a relatively quiet experience. I really didn't think the people who went to that park gave a crap about baseball. Well, the main game was the one in which Sori got beaned after hitting three homers the previous night. I had a few things that I needed to say after that. Plus the fact Lilly got tossed and then Renteria's cheapshot on Fontenot. Tensions were definately raised and I wasn't backing down to a bunch of obnoxious jerks behind me. Plus the fact that I had many $6.25 Budweisers in me. Couple that with a bunch of snide comments after Dempster lost the game and I left Atlanta with a bad taste in my mouth. I guess I had a unique experience though. My last trip to Atl was in 2005 for all four games of the 4th of July series, which were games 5 thru 8 of a 5-game losing streak. Cubs led one inning all weekend, Francouer's MLB debut was highlighted with a HR, and all the fans felt sorry enough for us to leave us alone, even though Cubs blue outnumbered them. For tonight's lineups - Counsell batting leadoff?!? Have the Brewers always had this problem? I really don't get why so many people keep saying how that team as a whole is more talented than ours. Braves will help us out tonight. Look at Counsells numbers against Hudson
