It might help to actually show what you're talking about. We aren't ready/listening along with you. Im sure hes talking about the quotes from TMac posted earlier in the thread. TMac had the audacity to say if he signed with the Bulls he would have to come to camp and prove hes a starter, can you believe that jerk? Man what a prick he is huh..........

Yea it really makes zero sense that Theriot is starting and not Baker. Baker and Fontenot havent started a game in awhile. The 1 quality Baker brings is being able to hit lefty handed pitchers, and yet hes on the bench.

You really don't need evidence to make these assumptions. Was there any evidence with Cousins last year at UK? Was there any evidence with Knight, Lamb, Kantor yet this year? Of course, I think there's some sort of payment going on yet there's nothing there. If Richmond and Abrams can get paid under the table at other programs, why would they choose not to? John Calipari is plenty of evidence

do not want Im not really for getting TMac, but Im not sure what he said in that quote that is making people say the don't want him etc... He says he has to come to camp and prove hes a starter, what is wrong with that? Hes not saying he should be given a starting job at all, hes openly saying he has to work for it. I see nothing wrong with his comments.

That's what I would have thought before the Haren trade as well. I would have laughed if I was told Haren would be traded for a package including a 30 year old pitcher with an xFIP close to 4.7 who strikes out around 5 batters per game. I'd be stunned if they were looking to spin Haren off and if they valued Lee that highly, but I was stunned they got him for a package built around Joe Saunders as well. i can guarantee you there are a couple of teams that are pissed off that the d'backs only got that in return because they could have easily trumped the angels' offer without too much damage to their system. Probably. I never know how much these trades tell us about the GM giving the player away for very little or if it tells us more about what the "real" value of the player on the market is. I thought the PTBNA was widely considered the Angels top prospect. So the top prospect plus a 2009 2nd round pick. I don't know much about either, but it's not like Saunders was the centerpiece. The DBacks gave up Haren without getting a Top 100 prospect back. Very hard to believe noone else offered them a better deal, it doesnt make much sense.
