  1. He basically has to or else our bullpen is going to be in shambles.
  2. Come on Guz throw strikes. Thanks for that kick in balls Len, screw Stl.
  3. Screw tipping your cap to him. The Cubs have had a terrible approach all day, and have let him off the hook a few times.
  4. I could watch all 3 Back to the Futures over and over again. I never get tired of those movies. Remember Teen Wolf? Ha What an impressive inning Cubs, that was a thing a [expletive] beauty
  5. Jason Freaking Marquis. UGH Our offense has now been shut down by such great pitchers as Braden Looper and Jason Marquis. Wow Miles you knocked the [expletive] out of that one you worthless bum
  6. Not a bad job, gotta feel sorry for him. Back to the Future was the [expletive] back in the day
  7. Coudnt that be a little better if Lou would just play Hoff against the RHP instead of Reed? depends on how much defense you're willing to sacrifice in the outfield. With Harden on the mound Id think OF defense should be of less priority
  8. Looked great and was hitting his spots, but for whatever reason, the Rockies were able to sit on their pitches and make Harden pay. he had 4 walks in 3 innings, i wouldn't call that "hitting his spots" unless he was trying to throw a lot of balls. He was throwing the changeup right where he normally does and gets swinging strikes. Rockies hitters just laid off it somehow today, which is why Brenly thinks he was tipping his pitches. RELEASE COTTS!
  9. Oh God its gas can Cotts. Get someone else up because he wont finish this inning
  10. Coudnt that be a little better if Lou would just play Hoff against the RHP instead of Reed?
  11. Geo, Id drop the Cedeno talk if you put one in the LF bleachers Edit: I mean Reed, sorry I forgot our stud catcher hits 7th
  12. He also had a dumb manager, whos team regularly made head scratching moves on the basepaths and defensively.
  13. Cedeno is garbage with an upside. Miles is just plain garbage. Thats my opinion also.
  14. His OBP is .301 since the age of 24. You can make all the excuses you want. The man has proven he cannot hit major-league pitching with any remotely acceptable level of skill. Few, if any, people who hit like he has ever turn into acceptable hitters. So you just completely ignore what hes done in the minors, and think he cant do even half of that at the major league level?
  15. Look Im not saying Cedeno is some stud or whatever, but to think he cant be as productive or better than Aaron Miles because of 590 AB's when he was 22 and 23 years old is foolish. Cedeno has never been given the regular playing time like Aaron Miles has outside of when he was 23 years old, and under a complete idiot of a manager.
  16. In over 200 more Ab's it wouldnt have been very hard for Theriots OBP to drop down those 50 points. Kind of skewing it saying it was much much better. Also considering the age Cedeno was when he reached the majors for a large majority of those sporadic at bats. Theriot would have had to go 22 for 236, an OBP of under .100. It would have been incredibly hard. Cedeno has ~600 minor league PAs spread across two seasons that said he might be able to hit in the major leagues, and 996 that say emphatically that he can't. He just can't. He's awful. And of those 996 major league at bats over half of them came at the ripe ages of 22 and 23 when he was rushed onto the Major league team.
  17. He needs to learn to play 3rd base. :P Yea apparently. I just figured hed be the backup OF when Bradley did his injury thing during the year, but apparently its Reed Johnson. Even though Johnsons numbers vs Rightys in his career arent very good.

  19. Well we got 1 run yay. Leave Hoff in the game please
