Apparently the Reds were the 2nd highest bidder for DeRo, and are desperatley trying to find a big bat as they see themselves as buyers right now. If they could get an impact bat, they could become a team to really watch with that starting staff.

Guz is going to start a rehab stint for Peoria Thurs, and then move to Iowa for a couple games, before returning to the Cubs. Sounds like he could be back by next weekend at the latest.

ARam is set to start his rehab assignment Thurs and play 4-5 games. So it sounds like he will be back for next weeks series vs Atlanta, and just in time to face Stl. Guzman is going to start a rehab assignment with Peoria on Thursday vs Kane County before going to Iowa for a couple appearances. Brewers leading 10-3 going into the 9th...Its now 10-6 Mets have 1 out with 2 runners on, and Brewers are getting Hoffman warmed up.

Well glad to see Milt finally moved out of the 3 hole. Maybe he can relax a little bit down in the order.

I know people like to brag up DeRo and stuff, but why has nothing been said that hes been horrible vs RH pitching this year? Hes hitting .251 with a .728 OPS against RH pitchers. The DeRo hype has gotten to really ridiculous levels.

Why would they call up colvin? Not that I disagree with you, I just want to know your reasoning. Basically, whoever comes up is going to be a non factor. I cant see any of these guys being any better than the other 2, so why not see what the one of the 3 who may have a future with this team has to offer. Fuld is 27 and his only use MIGHT be as a leadoff hitter, but thats not going to happen. Because Colvin needs regular at bats, something he wouldnt get on this team. -

It was a great throw back into the IF, despite being off-balance. Yea but the ball was in the gap near the warning track, its absurd a leadoff hitter couldnt get to 2nd base on that.
