  1. Dan Bernstein said Lovie did a horrible job. He said that he should not have used the word sprained should have used "partial tear" so that some members of the media and idiotic fans would get off his butt. Sprained just sounds too soft because people don't know what it really means. It wouldnt have mattered what word Lovie used. Unless Cutler has surgery the idiots are going to say hes a [expletive] and he should have played. It is your job as an organization and as a coach to do everything you can to let people know the kind of injury he had. It was a very important news conference. Thats not their job at all. It really is none of the peoples business what kind of injury he had. It was a meaningless news conference.

  3. Chris Harris Greg Olsen Really glad to see Cutlers teammates come out supporting him the way they have.
  4. Angelos comments about the idiots
  5. One common theme in all of that: All the current players who said something played on [expletive] teams from [expletive] NFC West. Jealous ass bitches, all of them. Seriously who the [expletive] are those guys anyways? Well to be fair, that was pasted from the NFC West blog. That's why some other comments MJD aren't on there. Yea I know, but it definitely seems like the majority of players who said something all come from the NFC West. MJD, Morrison, and Samuel excluded.

  7. One of the very few times Lovie Smith has actually said something in a news conference. Everything he said is 100% spot on too.
  8. Yup He wasn't even the most overrated QB playing in the AFC Championship game. Exactly
  9. Just in case anyone cares, Bears have a press conference at 1pm and ESPN is going to be showing it. Im sure won't be much but just a heads up
  10. The Bears really need to upgrade at CB also, because Tim Jennings is garbage.
  11. Asante Samuel is a [expletive] moron. How many games did he miss this year due to injury?
  12. I think the comments were more about sticking up for Kyle Orton and saying we didn't need to make a change because everyone believed in Kyle than Brian taking a direct shot at Cutler. Of course, there was obviously an indirect shot at Cutler to even make a public statement like that, but whatever. Yea also Cutler was coming to Chi with the whole Denver fiasco over him, which Im sure gave some of the Bears a preconceived notion of him. Since Cutler has been a Bear, all of his teammates have spoken very highly of him.
  13. If Im Jay Cutler, I dont speak to the media again. Thats just me, but I wouldnt blame him at all. And do the Bears play Jax next year? I hope so
  14. I can see him in the Brees/Rivers/Rodgers group. I hadn't realized how remarkably good he had been this year. I still put Peyton/Brady ahead of the rest, though. Yea I dont think you will get an argument from anyone with Peyton/Brady ahead of the rest. I think he fits right there with Brees/Rivers/Rodgers group.
  15. Depends on the severity I believe. Some MCL injuries don't require a surgery, while others do. Really won't know a time frame till they find out what grade of MCL injury.
  16. You know what gets me?? The majority of fans that rip Cutler for "never showing emotion", or "looks like he doesnt care", are the same [expletive] people who rip on Zambrano for his antics and showing too much emotion etc... You cant have it both [expletive] ways.
  17. I actually hear quite often that he's better than Peyton, Rivers and Brees because he has more rings than them. Pretty much every analyst I hear on TV or radio puts him in the top 5 of active QBs at a minimum and many put him in the top 3. He's very good, but not that good. He's been very up and down in his career, having some terrific years and some fairly average years. For instance, his 2006 and 2008 years were pretty bad, while the past couple of years have been much, much better. He's no higher than the 5th best active QB (behind Manning, Brady, Brees, Rivers) and might be a notch or two lower (depending on your thoughts on Rodgers). I'd probably put him 6th. Well I guess we are watching or listening to different things because Ive never heard anyone say hes better than Peyton, Rivers,Brady, or Brees. There is always the same list of top 4-5 QBs and Ben is rarely if ever put into it with those guys from what Ive seen. Hes always listed in the 6-10 group. Like I said there is noway hes the most overrated Qb like MHuber said.
  18. They brought in a new head Scouting guy I believe, but Angelo is still the GM and will have the call in the draft.
  19. Lance Briggs has withdrew from the Pro Bowl along with Urlacher. Also some reports that Forte may get an extension this offseason.
  20. Yea the MJD stuff surprised me. Ive always thought he was a pretty stand up guy, but the tweets from the NFL players is completely uncalled for. Im hoping the Bears take note of every single player that said [expletive], because to me its unforgivable. Questioning the toughness of one of your fellow NFL players over a social media outlet is BS. Deion Sanders questioning him is rich too. The guy was the biggest [expletive] when he played and now hes questioning someones toughness. Get the [expletive] out of here
  21. Most Overrated QB outside of Favre... No. Not even close. He's definitely overrated because people care too much about how many rings he has. Most overrated is questionable, though. How is he overated? The guy threw for 4300 yards last year with a 26/12 td:int ratio? He threw for 3200 yards this year with a 17/5 td:int ration all while not playing the 1st 4 games of the year. Im not sure what more you want out of a QB. I mean nobody ever puts him into the conversation of Manning, Brees, Brady from what I hear. So I have no idea how hes overrated.
  22. Good to see some outside people writing stuff defending Cutler. http://www.giantsfootballblog.com/2011/01/24/cutlers-critics-grow-up/ http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_corner/post/In-defense-of-Jay-Cutler?urn=nfl-311619 Oh and I hope MJD blows out his knee in the 1st game of the year next year. What a little bitch
  23. Most Overrated QB outside of Favre... No. Not even close.
  24. http://twitter.com/#!/keithlaw/status/28634533892984833 Keith Law says the same. I wonder what it is we don't know that has the Angels paying the entire remainder of Wells' salary. The Angles missed on every free agent target in the off season so they are desperate? Thats my guess what "we are missing".
