    Johnny Depp notwithstanding, it's usually not worth it to sue for this kind of thing. Williams would have to prove that McAfee intentionally lied or that he intentionally didn't check if it was true. Those are hard to prove.

    It's kind of a touchy subject in the industry (or at least it was, I've been out for 10+ years and I was barely even in before da bum took my job) but there's also the element that sports journalists just aren't the right fit for this kind of story. The guys who make a career out of buddying up to coaches and players aren't going to be the ones with sources in law enforcement. Could be heavily contributing to the cloudiness around what's happening.

That's the rumor I keep seeing independently: that Williams is under FBI investigation for child porn. If true, I have no interesting in lumping it in with my "lol bears suck" takes. That's outside of football and he can rot.

    I've seen multiple, independent reddit/Twitter reports of something that I don't wanna say until someone legit confirms it, but it would be weird for the same thing to get said in different places if it's not true
