Pretty close. I mean, if they started the year with this team and tried to win games all year (as opposed to making dumps at the deadline and calling guys up just to make a point or whatever), then 78-80 seems right. The starting rotation is pretty good, the offense is pretty bad, and the bullpen is pretty average. Honestly, it doesn't strictly move the meter that much on the projection. I already liked our OF depth and Campana has this nagging value that people don't want to admit. Mostly this just clears the way for a Soriano trade without hurting things too much, and maybe makes you feel a little safer about DeJesus in CF. I'd feel a lot better if we added a reliable sixth infielder. I've got nightmares about Lillibridge filling the Joe Mather role to the tune of -2.5 WAR this year.
