  1. Coach of the 1-8 Bucs? I bet we'd be better than 3-6 if he were still here. We'd be 5-5 and heading for just missing the playoffs. And somehow that would cost the Cubs Kris Bryant.
  2. I apologize for commenting on Cutler and not the 8 million things more wrong with the team, but I think at least five passes he's thrown have hit Green Bay players first.

  4. Well, next year all our aging, beat-up guys will be a year older but there's nothing else we can do.
  5. Playing against me in the NSBB league is such a powerful PED that A-Rod has inquired.
  6. Maybe I'm just imagining things but it's looked to me all year like Cutler's arm has taken a step back.
  7. I'd say they cannot possibly lose the TB game, but the Lovie guys still on the roster will probably throw the game to help him keep his job. Brian Urlacher comes out of retirement just for that game, suits up for TB, and picks Cutler for the game-winning INT return in OT.
  8. Yeah, this is fun bad. What would 3-13 get us in the draft?
  9. Too much to feasibly trade. Nothing to do but reload for another shot next year.
  10. That head to head contact on the third-down tackle was ugly.
  11. The Packers should just not suit up a punter next time.
  12. The worst part is that even improbably winning doesn't really save the season.
  13. Actually Baez has the best arm of the three, which is the only reason why it's kind of a shame to use him at 2B. But the scouting on Russell's defense over the last year has been basically unanimous - clearly the best SS defender of the three right now, never mind when he's Castro's age. You'd really only move him of SS if you didn't want to move the established player (which I think would be a major mistake). Are you sure you've seen any actual scouting reports and not breathless third-hand reports from the Arguellos of the world?
  14. The story I always remember with the Bill James Projections is a couple of years ago when someone on a Detroit fan site adjusted them for playing time, plugged them into a WAR calculator, and came up with 91 wins. This provoked an excited couple pages of comments among Tiger fans until someone did the same thing for the entire AL and 91 wins was barely out of last place.
  15. James projections are always super crazy.
  16. NOT ME! Screw pitchers.q
  17. Record is lagging actual performance considerably, not worried.
  18. Sometimes you just have to let the superstars have their points. When Mike Dunleavy gets into one of these moods, you can't stop him.
  19. Nah, it's pretty awesome right now. EDIT - Fully expect jersey to tell me that it's not awesome and i'm not excited because they haven't done anything yet. It's been better than being a Bears fan. Bulls and Blackhawks double-Finals run is going to be pretty epic this spring. But what about your Heat? That never happened. I am trying to be a Bulls fan this year and to forget that I don't like basketball.
  20. You're worried about Javy dragging the team out of playoff contention but you're cool with Lake opening the season as the starting LF? I was kidding about Lake. I hope he's waived this offseason.
  21. And a big part of defense, that is likely ignored, is not giving up extra bases. I don't know the differences between the baserunning metrics, so I will have to look that up. That's a big difference. It isn't ignored at all. You can look it up on OF's Baseball-Reference page.
  22. The lesson of the Royals is that you can be mediocre as hell, get some positive variance in the regular season and get hot in the playoffs.
  23. The Royals lost. Why would I want to take lessons from them?
