  1. I swear I go back and watch it at least once a month. My favorite sports highlight ever.
  2. I think we'll get value for both. We always do. People make a big deal about how teams should just punish us for our hubris, but in the end someone will want these players.
  3. Absolutely, but at that point we're getting into the nitty-gritty small stuff. Of course, I'm the guy who thinks that there's a lot of luck involved in the playoffs and the 2011 and especially 2012 teams weren't that much worse than 2010 or 2015.
  4. Honestly, I'm not upset about losing Sharp at all. He's a lot more name than production at this point in his career. Guys like Saad, Teravainen, TVR coming on should easily make up for it. I think just Bickell and Sharp should be sufficient to squeeze them in under the cap. There might be some noise about moving Seabrook, but they won't do it.
  5. Correct. He came up immediately (no. 1 overall), Toews was picked the year before at No. 3 overall.
  6. I felt like the day he was out would be the day the Hawks could move forward but I never dreamed of this. I always come back to this: I was listening to that game on the radio at work, and couldn't wait to get home to see the highlight. Hearing the other team's announcers gush like that really drove home how special it was about to become.
  7. It's awfully hard to put the Cubs that high when a very large percentage of the city is actively rooting against it.
  8. Even if it's a sliding scale, their success brings them the No. 1 spot for about 3 days until the next time a Chicago Bears player or coach farts loudly.
  9. 16-4 in playoff series over the last 7 years.
  10. I really wanted to see the heartbreaker celebration after that one.
  11. Baez being on his fourth organization at that point, I'm sure he'll forgive us and come back on a minor-league deal.
  12. No. But you may recognize him as the guy getting burned by Kane on the OT winner in 2010.
  13. Took a clearing attempt to the face, iirc. I want to say it was against San Jose?
  14. I never want to hear another word about Crawford's contract. Woo!
  15. Why not? What has Olt done since 2012 that demonstrates more baseball ability than those two? Heck, Herrera has two seasons at replacement level or better, something Olt has never managed.
  16. He's as bad as or worse than anyone on our bench. He's really, really bad at baseball. I don't understand why so much of the fanbase has trouble accepting this. You're seriously the worst. You have no idea (nor does anyone else for that matter) how he'll adjust after last year. He's clearly very qualified to play 3rd and he has enough power to be useful. Even if he turns into Mark Hendricks, he's a highly useful bench piece. In other words, shut your speculative and uninformed piehole. It's theoretically possible for any crappy player in baseball to "adjust" and suddenly become useful. I'm not sure why Olt is getting any more hope in that regard than every other pile of dreck at Iowa or even AA, but sure, it's theoretically possible.
  17. I think it'll be Keith just on the principle of "his turn." Lifetime achievement.
  18. He's as bad as or worse than anyone on our bench. He's really, really bad at baseball. I don't understand why so much of the fanbase has trouble accepting this.
  19. It's basketball, only the last 5 minutes matters. That'll leave you with plenty of time for the 2006 and 2011 World Series clinchers.
  20. stfu idiot i wish there was a language that idiots were known to speak that i could mock you with That insult would hurt a lot worse, but I'm going to sit here and wait for 5 minutes to see if you change your mind. That really takes the sting out of it.
  21. My point goes for hockey, football, and basketball as well So does mine. No replay anywhere, ever.
  22. Replay would be improved by not existing. It delays the game, waters down cool moments, and people get just as mad about calls as ever.
  23. I bet he still sucks. The walks are a cute trick, but he's as bad at making contact as ever, and he will whiff his way right back out of the league with regular playing time.
