Average to plus based on arm and athleticism, possibly declining as he bulked up. But minor league defensive projections are pretty much always overhyped, so him going from that to poopy is pretty normal.

Maybe, but I just don't think we can be certain. That's a not-insignificant amount of guaranteed money for a bounce-back guy. I think there's a real chance he won't be claimed on waivers and if he were, we'd think about letting him go for free.

That is not exactly what happened. If this happened the way it looks like it may have happened, Kane is a horrible human being. And maybe he is regardless. But that cab incident did not exactly happen that way. -

Soler is almost literally Pedro Cerrano. He can't hit anything offspeed, at all, and teams have figured that out. He's holding at replacement level despite a .371 BABIP. That's not something you can just easily adjust, imo.
