  1. Well, let's see: even if we don't go back to the Brett Jackson era, there's a pretty good bust case for Baez, Alcantara, Edwards, Almora, and Johnson. And Soler isn't exactly tearing it up this year.
  2. I dunno if that's true.
  3. Easy there, Donald. Sorry but there is nothing more annoying than people that start sentences "when I was at grad school at Northwestern." People pointing out that attractive people are put in high-visibility professions and calling women "honey" comes to mind.
  4. at which point he might have just broken because pitchers Petition to classify Starlin Castro as an official Pitcher, then everything makes sense again.
  5. It's going to take like four years of success before I stop assuming that any mediocre start by Hendricks is the beginning of his end.
  6. Screw pitchers. I want to slap anyone ready to give Arrieta an extension.
  7. I sure am glad the umpire is tight on the corner our guy likes to throw to and wide on the corner their guy does.
  8. Soler the last 7 days: .400/.483/.440 Bryant in the last 7 days: 313 .450 .375 .825 They're just not donging. Times I've cared about "Last 7 days" stats in the last 7 days: 0
  9. Bryant and Soler are the sad part of the lineup now, I guess.
  10. That's cool. Bryant is definitely a counter data point no matter how you phrase it.
  11. you mean like the one report that said that amid most others questioning his ability to stick there? are you really going to pretend the consensus on bryant's glove at 3B was that it was going to be very good? No, but the main point of my theory was always that the very best reports are the ones that get repeated over and over.
  12. You mean Kris "Best Defensive 3b in the PCL" Bryant?
  13. Every player in history who has ever struggled has come back with "new swing mechanics" and somebody has found something to be encouraged by in their AAA numbers.
