Ugh. Obviously, the worst part is either that this happened or that someone is being falsely accused (and it's looking pretty likely that it's not the second one). The second worst part is that we're never going to get a clean outcome. I either want Kane completely exonerated or I want him to never play for the Blackhawks again. But it's going to end up the same way it always ends up: Not enough evidence for a conviction because he can claim rough but consensual, and he's skating out there come October and ruining the Blackhawks. -
What if his BABIP drops 120 points like it will and he becomes an above-average hitter who sometimes plays catcher and is good for 3-4 WAR per year?

That's one of the most egregious examples of revisionist history the board has ever seen. They were and are jockeying for being in the WC round or watching from home. There wasn't much player position wise they could go for other than benching a developing player for someone which I didn't think was in question. They needed struggling players to get off the hump, which is what appears to be happening. vOv At the time I was like "Ben Zobrist would be nice" and didn't really see what else they could really do We are literally talking right now about getting a better starting pitcher.

We broke that combo when instead of doing something insanely exciting during the trade deadline we went the infuriatingly disappointing route.

Everything after 9 over is the highest since 08, well until 36 over at least. think he meant like emotionally Emotionally, it is irrationally important to me that we win the wild card game. Even if we get swept by the Cardinals in the NLDS or whatever. We've got a 9-game, 12-year playoff losing streak and I would really like to see that go away.
