  1. It unironically would look better.
  2. Yep, my expectations for this season are plummetting rapidly
  3. Late and with terrible footwork
  4. lol The Colts built their O-line first. The Bears built their WRs first. Neither works if your QB sucks.
  5. The receiver was more than 15 yards downfield and he didn't overthrow him. Is that allowed?
  6. Wiliiams doesn't know what NFL open looks like yet.
  7. They're not. Williams has to get rid of the ball and give them a chance
  8. That's on Williams. You can't keep pump faking and hitching.
  9. You could clearly hear the whistle blow before the ball came out, and we'd be furious if he had gotten a good play off without being in the grasp called
  10. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the playcalling.
  11. We drafted him specifically because he's supposed to be amazing at making those tough throws.
  12. The run game looks better. The pass protection is not amazing but it's adequate. We have no points because our QB can't make downfield throws, no more or less
  13. Williams is hestitating. You *have* to hit your back foot and throw sometimes
  14. Another missed throw downfield
  15. Exactly what i said: Get Anthony Richardson to third down and wait for him to spray throws
  16. We needed anyone over Fields. Those throws are why we needed Williams over Maye and he needs to start hitting them.
  17. Another overthrow that gives Odunze zero chance
  18. I'm really curious what the Colts come out and do defensively. They've generally been a "we don't do fancy blitzes and disguised coverages, we do what we do and we do it well" defense. But so was Houston.
  19. The main ways we lose this game are 1) Anthony Richardson can occasionally do things that just completely negate the defense. He makes a few throws a game that are so good that even a perfectly played defense can't stop it. If a couple of those happen to be 70-yard megabombs like the Texans game, they can put up some points. Not a lot, but some. 2) Maybe our offense really is that bad and even a depleted, bad Colts defense will shut them down.
  20. I'm being a bit subjective with the definition of "good/bad" but I think you could argue they haven't lost to a bad QB since week 12 of 2022, I think
  21. I am probably more confident for this game than I should be
  22. As always, I primarily hope to see improvement from Williams. We saw some last week, let's see some more. 1 - he must start hitting some of these downfield throws. These aren't 40 yard sideline go routes. These are guys open 20 yards downfield that you must hit both for the immediate production and the respect it forces from defenses 2) He was hitting wide open soft targets for short completions well enough against Houston, but eventually he needs to start recognizing that single coverage with leverage is open in the NFL and throw to that leverage 3) he needs to see the blitz as he drops and throw to where the blitz came from as soon as he hits the back of his drop. Better blitz pick-up would be ideal but it's never going to be perfect every time. He has a tendency to keep looking at his pre-snap read side even if the blitz comes from the other side, and he is just plain too optimistic about the blitz pick-up and hoping for home runs instead of hot reads
